Filled with my morning dose of Pepsi-Max, I'm going to finish off the next few hours and take a jaunt to Gamestation on my lunch.
Then it'll be some drawing. Need to get some Chibi-Bumblebee designs done!

I've given up as my Asda has been pretty good at getting them all in at a decent price. No haggis though. So not a total win.

Got into work today to discover that I had left my locker key at home. This may not sound too important but it is when you realise that my steel toe-cap work boots are inside my locker and I must wear them for safety reasons when in the workplace. I went to security but they didn't have any spare locker keys so I waited until my manager turned up for work but, as it transpired, it was his day off today! I then asked the second-in-charge of my department and she went to the offices to get a spare locker key for me. All was sorted in the end but needless to say as soon as I got home from work I put my locker key in my pocket so that the same thing wouldn't happen tomorrow.

Having had 5 failed job interviews* in a row I think I need to change my approach. I think I have perhaps been over-prepared and over-elaborate in my answers. So I'm trying to be a bit more loose in my research and do it in shorter bursts rather than spend hours and hours pouring over stuff and will try to be a bit more concise in my answers. So last night I did an hour in the library. I've printed out some more stuff to look at and I'll do another hour tonight then leave it until tomorrow afternoon.
I am still absolutely shitting myself at the group session thing tomorrow evening though.
-Ralph
*In the past, I hadn't had more than 3 interviews** before I got a job so coming up on the 6th one has been a real shock to the system
**The problem previously was in actually being able to get interviews

Rough men in leather shorts are comming to start rebuilding the kitchen and bathroom on monday. Three to four weeks of chaos to come. Worth it though. I'm currently arse deep in prep work, wall paper stripping, moving all the kid's millions of toys upstairs etc.

My fingers are crossed for your session this evening Ralph.
I have just returned from a trip away for a wedding. My mother got married at Gretna Green at the weekend. It was a small wedding - herself, the groom, my sister and I made up the full wedding party - but an excellent weekend was had by all.
My sister and I then spent a couple of nights in Carlisle, which was nice as we don't get a chance to see each other often enough. We visited the castle, which is very well preserved and quite impressive, and a museum where we were able to see - amongst other things - some of the quite impressive roman artefacts that had been dug up in Carlisle over the years. My favourite was a milestone inscribed in honour of a Roman Governor who decided to declare independence from Rome. His kingdom lasted a mere six years and on his defeat the very practical Romans didn't waste the milestone. They just turned it upside down and inscribed it in honour of the Emperor instead. So not only did they plant the rebel but they planted his inscription as well...
We also came across an absolutely astounding second-hand bookshop in Carlisle - four floors stacked high with more books than I have seen in many libraries. We could have both come away with quite a lot, except that as we were travelling we had to be sensible in terms of what we could carry.
It was a very good few days though - a momentous family event, followed by a nice mini-holiday.
Back to work tomorrow, but thems the breaks eh?
Karl
