Picked up issue five yesterday.
Dropped. I honestly think the title might not last twelve issues. Story after five issues is going next to nowhere at glacial speed. AHM is a good fit as the back up.
Got far more fun from the PDA sending commands to Steven Seagal to act/emote in Hard To Kill than the comic. The lolly was good too.

I've dropped the title with this issue. The main strip has been five straight months now of characters acting like morons and AHM is even worse than the synopsis led me to think. It's just a dreadful piece of writing. Money is too tight to keep buying something I don't enjoy any more.

So, two more loyal readers drop the comic. I wonder how many other people have become disgruntled and how this will affect sales?

When they can only print one letter I suspect it's not long for this world.

When they can only print one letter That's because they've got Starscream's Stars taking up half a page, photos taking up the other half (which in itself implies others wrote in), and the two-answerers-bickering gimmick takes up twice as much pace as Starscream did. I don't know why the letter's page was shortened to two pages when the gimmick needs more space.

Wearing thin now but I haven't particularly minded the idiot characters (in fact I thought it worked quite well last issue) but after reading this issue I'm shocked that we're still on this. First issue seemed to promise something quite different to what we've had, so I'm not surprised Hubbers are dropping it.
Just clocked the cover price (yikes!). If the shrinking letters section and comments here are any indication I don't see the comic making it past #12.

I dropped it when V2 started... I just wasn't enjoying the tiny lead strip enough to justify buying it. If it's any consolation, I did feel really bad about it for a while.

I really think this should've been #4's strip. End #3 on the characters thinking "hang on, that looks dodgy" (releasing Grindor works better for that) and have this quickly exploited by the Decepticons. Things move faster that way.

I've got to agree with everyone else - it's gone from being a really fun read to a chore. AHM is pretty poor, but if the main strip was fine I wouldn't mind. However, it's plodding along at a snail's pace. I like the idea that Soundwave is trying to dis-credit the twins, but it might have been an idea to actually bring this element in earlier, rather than flinging it out there. Seriously close to dropping it.

The story is quickly turning into the UK version of AHM! Nah. More stuff happens. The overarcing plot has gone on too long, but this issue still gives us Sideways being captured & then sprung as part of a sinister plot and the twins being framed and arrested. AHM, meanwhile, took slightly longer than this to do "Decepticons conquer a human city and there are these human guys".

I always knew the Twins were evil :3 My summary of AHM is Decepticons arrive Everyone forgets that robots exist Humans die Autobots cry on Cybertron More humans die Autobots get better Decepticons fight eachother (for a second) Humans start to fight back Autobots come back Hooray! It's over! Then some Euthenasia O.o

Lather, Rinse, Repeat could be McCarthy's next mini-series.

I may have picked up a incorrectly printed Previews.
#5 why didn't they just say - "The Fallen is coming" when they got to Prime, or just "Decepticons"

Well, I can tell you this - Diamond UK stopped carrying the title with issue #4 because they're not getting enough orders for it. Which was irksome (for me, anyway - now I don't get staff discount on it!) but not something I found particularly surprising. I'm sure it does 99% of its business off the newsstand.
Whether or not that translates to the title being removed from Previews, however, I don't know.

Wow, that really does mean it's not long for this world. Bummer. And here I thought just the US comics sucked balls, now apparently yours does too!
Nick's mini is truly our only hope for decent reads in the future.

I've just realised that you could do #4- as they are but post-movie, with Soundwave trying to get revenge on the twins for helping uncover the Matrix. That'd also have the advantage of a greater sense of progress.

That would work much better.
I was in FPL on Friday and noticed that their issues have an extra lolly celotaped to the cover. I have no idea if this is a local thing to get rid of their lolly overstock (!?!?!?) or a bonus item for FP, similar to the special deals that WH Smith receives. If you haven't bought the issue yet and haven't been put off by this thread, it may be worthwhile to locate your nearest FP store. FP are also selling multi-mag bundles containing older vol2 issues with copies of EDGE and other titles for £2 each.

The issues are supposed to have the lolly. If you buy a copy anywhere that doesn't have it, it's been nicked.
At least the last issue I bought had some fine edible tat on it. It's a very nice lolly indeed, with a fabby chewy bit in the middle.
