It went ok. I have requested an Occupational Therapist referral via the work health scheme so that adjustments can be done properly in line with my employment rights. I plan to be gone in 6-8 months as a vague plan has formed for the future during my sick leave but I need a bit of help to be more comfortable for that to happen.

With perfect comedy timing as I return to work after a long period and also sort out a trip away this weekend to help me relax I have come down with a heavy cold type energy sapping thing as the evening has progressed. Ffs.

Not unlike where he wants the camera to go... Glad to hear things went ok at the work meeting. Hopefully things will keep moving in the proper directions and the right adjustments will get sorted. I'm going to be making some work-related adjustments myself. This is a thing that has been in the wind for a while, but I haven't been able to say anything until it was officially announced. I'm going full-time. From a 30hr a week contract, I am moving to a 37.5hr contract thanks to the option of some extra hours coming along and my putting myself forward as interested. Whilst I will miss my Friday's off, this has obvious benefits in terms of having an extra days worth of income each week and less obvious benefits in terms of my pension arrangements and the like. All told,it will be nice to back on full-time hours really. (This is why I won't be able to travel down until the friday evening for the LEGO show - it is very likely to be my first or second week of working Fridays). Karl |
