Holiday doesn't start for me until Wed. And I'll be in school all day that day sorting my room out. Tomorrow is the usual trauma of a departing tutor group.

After improving over the weekend, I've not been so good today, very weak again. :-(

Running late for work once again due to Northern Fail's inability to run their own timetables.

Do not rely on the train timetable! Build extra time into your journey plan!

Payday this week, and for the buying of Plastic Robots, Comics and Curry I'm trying to work out what I'm due. It's usually the same month on month. Trying to work out what I would get "Take Home" this month get a bit complicated. Didn't get any money last month, thanks to the PHI errors in April & May. The last reliable payslip I have is for end of March so I'm starting from there as a base. Since then we've started a new tax year and the Personal Allowance has risen from £11,850 to £12,500. This is an annual increase of £650, so £54.17 per month that I don't need to pay tax on. I think, at 20% tax, that means an extra £10.83. But I'm also expecting two deductions £53.24 Pension Deduction
£59.68 Correction =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- £112.92 Total Except I would have already seen 32% of that come off in tax (20%) and NI (12%). So in theory I should only get deducted 68% of those amounts, which I make £76.79 Which put together means I should see £65.96 off the amount I received from my Employer at the end of March. We'll see how close I get on Thursday....

Do not rely on the train timetable! Build extra time into your journey plan! As I have already said several times I already build in extra travel time by getting trains earlier than the ones I need but am still late most days. I'm not an idiot. I can't get up any earlier due to health issue I'm already getting up three hours before work. It's causing me so much stress it's keeping me awake. The solution is to find a permanent tenancy where I can get to work without trains. Then the problem will be solved. By contrast, I've found the tram and bus services to be extremely reliable! -Ralph

MASSIVE thunder storm in the small hours. Incredible lightning. Woke us (apart from the small one). Watched it for a time. Stunning.

Yes, hit here about 12:30, just as my stomach was coming back under control. One thunderclap & flash so close together that it must have happened just over the house. Nearly dropped my iPad I was reading from at the time!

Six hours straight spent sorting, organizing and binning stuff in my classroom. Not done yet so I get to do it all again tomorrow. Which is ironic as I'm supposed to be doing exactly that in my own house at the moment. Perhaps I should just be done with it and move into my classroom. I spend most of my time there anyway.

Today I have mostly been... sitting in traffic jams.
However, I am now holded up in a secret location in the Peak District and have discovered that Tesco in Derby lists its prices in Euros as well as pounds. Out of one window I can see a gang of chickens strutting about in the road, and the other a cow looking over the garden fence.
I am impressed that even in the middle of nowhere there is still quality broadband to be had.
