Tresspassers have been in the building overnight again. They can't even be arsed to ckean up their litter. There appears to be no way to stop them. Police doing fuck all as usual. Looking forward to July which is earliest date I can move. I hate where I live and I hate my job and my health is worse due to a medical fuck up. Should have stayed where I was. I genuinely was much better off financially, work wise and health wise.

Rejoined the main line from Bristol and The North so it's time for the traditional "Taunton: and I thought it smelled bad on the outside" message which I have left everywhere to make sure Matt sees it.

Spent the evening watching the Thunderbirds Day live stream. Darn, Gerry and Sylvia Anderson made magical shows back in the day.

What does Shockprowl have the Orelly men doing?

What does Shockprowl have the Orelly men doing? Ah. You know your Faulty Towers, Pinwig, my friend. I knew you would. Orelly men do lots of things. Many many expensive multiple things. Extension things. New roof things. Many things.

Oh wow, are you having an extension built? Since the whole house move thing collapsed for us, that's the route we're going now instead. I'm planning and sketching ideas at the moment but I need to read up on the way to do all this. Need an architect I suppose.

Yes. Very scary. It's all essentially fueled by our need for new roofs. Urgent new roofments. New main roof, new garage roof. Can't really do those things without doing the first-floor-on-top-of-garage extension thing, so... Orelly men.
Edit: a good architect is worth the expense.

That's the thing innit. How do you know they're good?

We used one. Pulled it all together. Sorted out the planning (which you still needed), and had a ton of ideas we hadn't thought of.

Oh no, I mean how do you know where to find a good architect?

Just make sure you've got planning permission first. There's a house on my road with a half-finished extension that's been there for several years now, presumably 'cos they got instructed to stop halfway through.

Planning permission has changed recently (too late to help us), but for Matrix's sake check check and check again what you need.

Martin The palava I've had about house buying and selling over the last five months has left me very well aware of planning permission needs. And also how completely inept the local building control department is.

Looking forward to tomorrow: new toy reveals, hopefully new toy arrivals, some anticipated good news for the digital epic collections, and hopefully a big Marvel NYCC digital collections sale.
But tonight.... Shattered. Glad to be home and in my own bed. The forecast for weather and transport in the SW does not look good

Got the reveals, got the Epics on Comixology, didn't get the toys or the sale. Mixed day. And my stomach is "poorly"

So that's the first week of real Uni down. I had not expected to working at this lebel, it's a tad lower than I'd thought. Draining, but some of that will have been a combination of struggling to keep focus and struggling to keep interest. Should be better when my body and mind get back into the swing of a routine.
Splashed out on an extravagance last night and got caught up with IDW 2.0. It's not going very fast, is it? I have thoughts, certainly, which have distracted from Zardoz for a night at least.
