Been a bit better most of today, less coldy till tonight when it 's back in force.
This morning go soaked up by a load of adminy jobs - spell checking and scheduling blog entries, some poll stuff, some Epic stuff, so it was this afternoon before I got near the writing for the DW Blog and managed to put episode 2 to bed.

I destroyed a ghastly stone mantelpiece at the weekend that I've lived with for far too long. Muscularly wrecked now though. Just plain ruined.

Not with his dodgy hip I hope?? And presumably on purpose?

Went to a public event organised by a theological institute. There was a strange lack of theological content and it was aimed at academics rather than the public. It was still fine (and free!) but a bit odd.

Not with his dodgy hip I hope?? And presumably on purpose? It was most definitely on purpose. I hated the twating thing. But I am not too muscularly good though now. And the hip is very cross with me. Wouldn't have bothered me five years ago.

First Quiz Winners, now Theology Thinkers. What next?? I'm still puzzled by the book launch that didn't have any copies of the book to buy or even one to look at and which didn't tell the audience what the book was about or where they could get a copy. One might say this was a failed book launch but the contributers had a great time giving each other copies. Bizarre! -Ralph

Don't be rude, young man. I'm not being rude! Why is that even rude? Explain your working! (See? Automatically takes things to a dirty place...)

should have been going out for Chinese tonight, last chance before the restaurant's Christmas prices kick in.
Cold and CMT said no, walking across room proving an issue :-(

See? Rude.
Clearly chess is some kind of euphemism for something rude.

Late night water dripping adventures required a trip into the extension roof space here just now. The snap freeze earlier today appears to have ruptured some pipework coming down from the bathroom.
Nothing as bad as it initially seemed fortunately. An L piece of piping will need replacing and/or resealing and then some drying out for the ceiling/wall/light socket that has been dampened. And then maybe some pipe lagging should be done just to protect against similar problems in future. Its a short piece of unprotected piping on what would have been the old external wall now hidden in the roof space of the extension but above the ceiling insulation so fairly exposed in the grand scheme of things we now realise.
In the morning we shall report to the Battle Bathroom while we contact Chief Engineer Father Unit for further advice.

Same here. Less the actual problem, more the getting it sorted.
And when I say dripping last night I mean full on water flow running down a light whenever the sink upstairs was used. Especially annoying as it was used with no problems one minute and literally the next came The Torrent. Not even the decency to give us a transition period!

I did roll along the wall to avoid the water.
I have received repair instructions. I will have to climb into the Jeffrey's tube in the ceiling space to enact the plan.
