Exactly. Of the triples, I had Astrotrain and Sandstorm (metal feet) as a kid and I loved them both. Sandstorm particularly because he felt a bit of an outsider not really featuring in the comics. Terrific chopper. Sandstorm is by far the most successful of the 'second wave' Triples, cut from the same cloth as Astrotrain and Blitzwing, i.e., two distinct and usable vehicles modes. Springer's alt modes are boring and indistinguishable, and Broadside is... a massive aircraft carrier, which is just too bonkers. Octane is meh. Sandstorm though- two great fun actiony alt modes and he looks great and transforms interestingly. I'm really surprised and pleased they've given him his proper G1 toy face as well! Unprecedented! He's going to look great stood next to the G1 toy Pinwig gifted me years ago.

Hmm, I don't know about "Doggy in the window" my immediate thought looking at that is "Out of the darkness, comes....The SILVER-GREYYYYYY GHOST!".
But then I have a tendency to see Fuzor Silverbolt as essentially Adam West Batman to begin with so...yeah...

Happy enough with the original toy. This doesn't seem to add anything.

Transformed Chase tonight. That was a bit interesting, possibly not a toy for Ralph.
Very much suspect, now I have it in hand, that the reuse Mark hinted at will be a complete reshell of the skeleton.

It's ok, I have no interest in Chase.

Doesn't seem to say 'Beast Machines Universe' on the packaging. Interesting.

A cheetor vaguely in scale with the normal sized G1 generations!

Yes! I was going to moan earlier that it wasn't in scale with anything else... but it is! Just not in the way I was thinking initially.

BM era Cheetor was kind of a big boy. Put this guy with ER Optimus, and it'll still be a bit too big, but it'll be close enough to be reasonable.
Though it might be completely in scale with the Masterpiece line.

They need to bring back C-clips - that would be the pinnacle of EVO-FUSION!

I've finally gotten around to opening up Windblade and I am annoyed because... she is good. And that's annoying because I'm generally pretty aloof and disinterested in the current state of the Generations line, on account of it being an unadventurous line of competent but fun-free representations of various characters. But go and put in one of my favourites and of course I love it. Because I'm a fucking hypocrite. Again. I mean she's not as good as the Titans Return version, of course, but still pretty good.
What really does confuse me though is the amount of 5m- C.O.M.B- Evo-Fusion ports on her. I mean I know that the line retains the adding-on-lots-of-bits gimmick that they've had since Siege, but generally the number of ports on figures has been scaled right back over the years. Guess they've started remembering that the line's meant to have a gimmick again. Or something. Who knows...

I don't think it has been that much, with the exception of the organic Beast Modes which have none, that could be skewing your view. There's always been some on every vehicle

The newest toy I've picked up is Chase, and he's got a total of seven different mounting points (3 on each side of the vehicle mode, and one on the trunk). So my limited experience suggests they are still fairly well supplied.

Animated Prowl has maybe three, one awkward one on the back of the fuel tank, and one on each shoulder that I'm not sure if they are even mounting points.

Yeah, could well be that - I have been buying more Beast Wars-related figures recently. And also Studio Series figures repackaged as Generations toys (e.g. Toxitron Jazz and Grimlock), which probably explains why my thinking had gone that way...
