Looks nice, but since deciding not to back Omega Prime I find myself indifferent. With RiD I think I am now just sticking with the originals, even with their tortured transformations. Yeah, I'd rather re-acquire an original. -Ralph

I just realised they could have done what the Lego minifigures do, and put a second toy face on the back of Gears' head!

A toy face on him would have been brilliant.
By chance I have Core Soundwave on my desk. I'd forgotten there was a cassette in his chest. That Laserbeak doesn't actually fit in Gears; if they'd managed that I'd have been truly impressed.

There's believed to be a toy face in existence on his Selects Smallfoot repaint

In tape mode only. Soundblaster has Buzzsaw
You can swap them round

Well, in reality he has a small piece of rectangular plastic painted to look like Laserbeak's cassette mode, which sits inside an opening door in Soundwave's chest. Pretending this can play the part of Gears' dodgy circuit is pushing it a bit.

Seven figures in one day, leaves me with too much to process.
Cheetor- first beast era character that's reasonable in scale with the G1 generations. Good robot. Beast mode leaves a lot to be desired. Basically, he's too simple to have such a poor beast mode.
Gears- He's another one of those that's become so common, who looks a lot better in hand than in photos. Everything that looks weird about him in pictures just... doesn't really exist in hand. Even the wheel issue isn't nearly as bad.
Shard- Best of the three Rockizers! Best of all the izers, actually! I completely forgot she comes apart, she's so well made!
Chromia- ...is a thing that exists. If you hate the mold, then you'll hate her. I like the mold, her new head is great, and her deco is lovely. But she brings nothing new to the table. She's a terrible representation of Cyberverse Chromia, but as a toy and as Chromia, she's a significant improvement over Siege. But I'm biased, I was sick of the Siege mold before it was even released. PotP saw to that. Since T30 is still the best Chromia, this perfectly fine, but unimportant figure will become a stand in for Night Ranger.

"Unlock the power of the decepticon cyberkey! The key can insert in the back of Starscream’s translucent weapon for a powerup blast or it can insert in his back to infuse the chip forces power cosmic."
Could this be...a play feature??!!

We can do far worse....
I'm liking this. Yes it's not a Dodge Viper, but licensing costs will have put paid to that. Shadowstriker was nice, but obviously going to be Sideburn and this has turned out better than I was expecting.

The key can peg into a slot in his back or the back of the gun, but neither is connected to anything. So play from the point of it inspiring imagination, but it doesn’t cause anything to happen on the toy…

Phil gets immense pleasure from the millimetres and they're a big part of putting things in holes. Must be a play feature.

I’m enjoying Cybertron Starscream. He fits nicely with Legacy Armada Starscream as an update where they get away with hitting the play features by just making it very, very nice.
Like the original he shines in robot mode, which has a lot of presence and some surprisingly nice colors in-hand - the very dark blue is lovely. Not a lot to say about the alt-mode. Is there and he won’t spend much time in it.
Surprisingly he comes with some assembly required - the parts that mount on the arms and the tail fins are separate, presumably so he could fit in standard voyager packaging. He’s lanky but he spreads out a lot.
Amusingly, as my daughter pointed out, three of the steps in the instructions make it look like he’s doing a Cossack dance or something.
That same portion of the transformation had me wondering if he could have a BM Jetstorm pretool in there somewhere, the way his legs both form a point and also spread wide.

"Be sure to utilize his energon cyber blades that can manually flip out from his massively cool shoulder pilons." The tweet from the person says.... Pilon is a French surname. Why does he have massively cool french people attached to his shoulders? Karl
