I posted some eBay stuff, boxed up a whole load more, delivered the photos some bloke down the street was waiting for that came through our door because we have the same last name (but not, rather significantly, the same house number) and apparently made him very happy, and completely failed to make any further progress on my project report. D'oh.

Started the work for the next essay this evening. Before I even get to the reading and the 4500 word written thing, have to transcribe an audio tape. After an hour, I had got two whole minutes down. This was after spending time selecting the right audio recording to use, and which bit to look at. Want to kill. The deadline on this one is insane considering all the other work, practice etc needing done as well. My horizon has narrowed down to March 6th.

We shall channel for you as and when required Ralph, Nick.
I had one of those days defined by starting out with wonderful intentions and then getting to lunchtime with the things you wanted to achieve in the morning still undone. It is clearly going to be one of those weeks I think.
Tomorrow I have an exciting mission to rescue some fish from an abandoned house before they starve left all alone in their tank...... It isn't exactly Torchwood where I work that's for sure.

Today was spent burning DVD's for folks and then I was sidetracked into watching football.
Late Edition is on in a bit so I shall watch that before hitting the drawing board for a few hours.

Curse you for mentioning the Cimmerian however, for now mind does fill with rememberances of its printing by the hallowed Marvel of the land of UK more than two score years afore, and how I did gain much enjoyment from stories I have not seen again these many years hence. I've got 2 copies of Savage Sword of Conan in my loft at home - both with parts of the Magik ls reprinted in it.

I loved Savage Sword of Conan back in the day. In fact all of Marvel's black and white magazines were tops in my book. Comics always looked better in monochrome to me in my youth. The Warlock reprints in Star Wars in particular stood out. So did the Byrne/Austin UXM work in Rampage. Also Rampaging Hulk was fantastic stuff.

First edition of the radio show went off without a hitch, and it was great fun doing it.
Well, no hitches apart from me checking my voice levels without realising I had the mic turned up, and proceeded to say "Bollocks, arse biscuits, bum bits, blah blah blah" for about 15 seconds.
It was funny as fuck seeing all the comments come flying in online after that!
Been reading Eagle comics too, bought over 100 of them for £9.99 on eBay, and I've finally reached the issues where I originally started reading them in the 80's. The nostalgia trip i'm getting at the minute is brilliant!!

Zip and Star had an adventure in the back garden. They both looked around and explored a lot and were getting a general feel for the outside.
It got dark and they were left to it, half an hour later there was a THUD! on the patio door. I went over to investigate and saw that one of the HUGE and nasty Tortoiseshell cats that live over the back fence had gotten in the garden. I went out and shoo'ed the cat away but Zip and Star were nowhere to be seen. Rushed back into the kitchen (where the cat flap is) to find Star was very shaken and frightened but Zip was still not back.
Moments later, Zip came back in through the cat flap but not frightened, his tail was all frizzy as cats get like that in a stand off. It would appear he stood his ground against the bigger and nastier cat from over the fence before I chased it off. I could'nt see him in the dark at all since he's so pitch black in colour.
I was pretty proud of Zip who stood his ground and for his sister. He could have easily made a retreat as opposed to staying outside having a showdown with a meaner cat 3 times his size.
I feel the territory wars have just begun.

I took part in the filming of a Keynsham-based Jackass style show called Crazee Go-Nuts. Pretty much the same as Jackass but more fun based and not as sadistic.
There was a few people short for the event and I ended being asked to come off cameras and be part of the show.
The event was a Dizzy Assault course where the entrants had to spin endlessly for a minute before the start whistle. I was one of three people doing this, and it was kinda like a Bulkhead vs Bumblebee vs Prowl situation. The two other guys were like 10 years my junior who were into freerunning/parkour and skateboarding so I guess I was in for a challenge.
I did what I could and provided some heavyweight division comedy, took some massive bumps and got caked in mud. People liked it and how it came out on film.
The worst part was the spinning and started to feel sick later. But hey it was fun!

Hello sports fans! In for a stand alone night shift that I couldn't book off. Had a good week this week. Done lotsa DIY. Lotsa painting (walls that is, not canvases). Loadsa playing with Piglet. Devastation 5 came. Machine Wars Prowl come from Andy (you beauty!). And had a few ales with a chumb of mine. He's a copper, so we swap war stories. Marvelous! Whilst painting though, I did step off the ladder and put my foot into a try of paint. Thought that only happens in Buster Keaton movies! Tried to teach Piglet how to say Doctor Who. Got her to Docor Hoop. Pretty close! Piglet also had her hair cut for the first time, which was a 9.5 on the cuteness scale.

TV show sounds fun, Ken.
In other news, though horrendously hungover, there was much joy in Burns Towers when I crushed Nick at Transformers Monopoly. He thought he was safe. He thought he was cruising to victory. But that was before he stepped into my street of death straight after being humped by Omega Supreme. Awwwwwwwwww yes.

I feel I should point out that the Chance Card of Doom that knobbled me beyond all hope of redemption did not actually say "You have been humped by Omega Supreme. Pay $900 for pelvic reconstruction surgery" or, indeed, anything like that.

Crazy week of work approaching the end of the contract and suddenly lots a deadlines. Stayed 1 -2 hours late each night except Friday when I have to rush for the rain. But fun all the same. Deadlines are the thing I miss most about education. Tends to bring everyone together or completely blow up either way its kinda fun.
Weekend was a nice change went out for a couple of drinks for the first time since Botcon last year. Had a nostalgia trip, going back to the pub we used to work at for the first time since its refurb. Also got to pick up Mr SProwls Starscream which was a relief because I couldnt wait and had already stripped my own for the Signal Lancer project which also took a leap forward with SS legs and hip joint surgically joined to Poundland KO Legend Hotshots torso, also got one SS arm and shoulder hinge attached. Annnd found the perfect KO head for SL at Poundland the weird Duocon things Nick mentioned a few weeks back. (Its actually a very nice toy).
