That is true. That's potentially a worse crime than anything else perpetrated here.

It's very clever. My ipod has this kind of x1.5 speed mode that makes listening to podcasts sound perfectly normal; you don't notice the difference. Also, I listen to a lot of Radio 4, which is usually very slow and clear in terms of presentation and can be sped to 1.5 times without any difference at all. The only thing that doesn't quite work is the News Quiz, because Miles Jupp particularly speaks quickly. It just means that a 30 minute programme takes about 22 instead, which just fits perfectly into my commute time these days.

Oh god no. No, this is for routine magazine programmes like open book, digital human, monkey cage, the film programme, the media show, any TF podcasts, etc etc. R4 drama and Big Finish is only ever proper speed. In fact in my case BF is CD anyway, bar the odd speculative digital purchase in sales. The only drama I do at x1.5 is the Archers, because I'm addicted and need to listen but don't actually want to waste 75 minutes a week on the omnibus.

You listen to 1.5x speed Archers?! Hardcore, you know the score. Like I said though, the iPod does something clever with it, like compacting spaces or altering pitches. The voices don't sound sped up at all.

Ohh that's horrible. It reminds me of a shitty 'Sci-fi Themes' CD I accidentally bought way back when, that was full of awful soulless lazy-snyth versions of well-known sci-fi tunes....

I'm sure I had that album on cassette but it had a different cover. Perhaps. Still, the name Geoff Love has stuck in my mind as a ringleader in the underworld of crimes against music.
