It would have been broadcast 49 years ago today if it had been completed,
As you can see we're working from the most recent version, with animation included, but we will make reference to other versions as we go and indeed the original intended version in respect to where the animation differs later on, especially in terms of the prisoners.

But it wasn't broadcast 40 years ago so we can't be 40 years on from it being broadcast!
*head explodes*
I think only the BBCi version was broadcast.

Watching Ark in Space.
Finally got back to the blog writing today after a month+ off thanks to ill health and getting stuck.
Almost immediately ran into trouble, discovered I needed some more photos, put the disc in the machine to get them and found it wouldn't load. Massive circular scratch on it. Replacement disc in post.
I wouldn't mind so much but Time Flight is total poo and I have it on Blu Ray! Ah well. But, bar the photo I need, episodes 2 & 3 completed and in lieu of progressing further I've done some prep work for the next one

Is that the BR or DVD of Ark in Space you mean?

I'm impressed they can still do replacement discs for that one given the scarcity of the set!

I am confused. Why did you need Time Flight to watch The Ark in Space?

DVD drive in PC rejected Ark in Space DVD last night too. Spearhead from Space and Inferno worked though

5.38 is 1.5 million down on Skyfall part 1 but still above that five episode run at the end of Capaldi's era that dipped into the four millions before his last one. 77 is the lowest AI rating since Eccleston's first two episodes got 76.
Interesting. I have to say, off the back of Orphan 55 I didn't bother watching this week's episode on Sunday. It's recorded and I will watch it, but I don't really have any urge to. Never ever felt like that about Who before.

That's how I felt about s11 but I have been enjoying this season.
Shame to see the viewers switching off in droves. Perhaps it has had its time?

You could be right. The thing is, 5.4 million is still pretty good and try as they might, the BBC don't seem to be able to come up with anything to replace it.

Girfriend has experienced THE WEB OF FEAR episode 1. She tells me it is not possible to go between those two underground stations as shown.

Which two?
As we explained when we last blogged it several stations in Web of Fear have changed names since it was broadcast

Covent Garden and, er, golly, the other one. The stations connecting where the explosives are and where the detonator is.

"Charring Cross"
Except it isn't Charring Cross as we know it now, it's the station now known as Embankment. They want to blow it because it's the interchange between the Northern, where the army is and most of the action takes place, and The Circle, where the web is advancing.
My assumption has always been they change lines at Leicester Square.

Ah thay explains Jen's confusion. And she did say Leicester Square should be involved (she lived in London for many years and knows the tube well).

We had Ark In Space on Monday night to celebrate Tom's Birthday and something caught me eye. Now I know virtually every bit of the Ark sets is recycled from somewhere so it's not surprising I'd find something familiar. However in this case I don't know where I know it from. Here's a slightly closer shot What was it originally, where have I seen it before and where have I seen it since?

FINALLY finished Time Flight yesterday. I think episode 3 might be the real turd there, that's the one I got stuck on, rather pleased with episode 4 in the end.
Went straight on to start Arc of Infinity whose episode 1 was a lot better than I recall it being.

Where do we stand on the Tesla episode then? I realise now why I was putting off watching it; I was worried it was going to be as bad as last week's episode. I don't think it was as bad, but it certainly wasn't that good. Spent the last twenty minutes of it posting on here at the same time and I never do that.
What was the significance of the gun being Silurian? Did I miss that? More than a passing resemblance to the Racnoss in the baddies.
