I know older Metroplex have a weakness in their waist - I lost one that way a few years back.
Well I've just got my current one out and his refusing to rotate at the waist. What's a good method of persuading it too ?

Getting a Quintesson battleship to transform into a megacannon then blasting Metroplex in the waist, splitting him in twain, leaving his legs on Earth but blasting his body through a newly formed spacebridge to Cybertron?

I have never heard of this on a Metroplex before.
You may be able to pick up a relatively cheap reissue.

I've found junkers that have broken in two atthe waist but it's never happened to my original or any of the unbroken full bodies I've picked up. I always wondered what people were doing to them.

Have you got an unbroken body going spare Bogatan ?
All I've tried to do is turn it at the waist to TF into city mode. It just won't turn.

I've just received my third Metroplex toy in the post. The previous two both perished when their waist joints snapped as they refused to turn. Has this happened to you ?

Legs fell off, and his Antenna snapped, but no waist breakage.

My original G1 Metroplex broke at the waist eventually after years of use. My Encore Metroplex hasn't given me any problems yet.

My original Metroplex body is my only surving TF from childhood and withstood heavy play with no issues.

Metroplex has got to have the thinnest waistline of any transformer toy especially for its size. I wonder if this was inspiration behind his being broken in half at the hands of the Quintessons. (see Eugenesis) ===KEN |

One of his legs broke but if it was 'closed', if you get me, it stayed on. Just a bit floppy. He could do a comical dance.
