Remember those Marvel pages that Andrew Wildman put up for sale on his website a few weeks ago? I bought two of them; they arrived this morning.
One is of the Neo-Knights, Scorponok and Optimus, the other is the Decepticon's initial assault on Klo.
I've wanted to get some Wildman/Baskerville art for ages. ;D

Good choices. I was tempted but had purchased three G.I. Joe pages off him a couple of weeks before.

Heh. Neither did I, really, but didn't want to miss the opportunity. I sent him an email this morning to let him know they'd arrived and his reply suggested he'll be putting some more up soon.

Yeah he's said on his blog more would be coming but he's having connection issues at his studio so can't upload preview pics of them.

I have 4 or 5 pages of Wildman/Baskerville art bought from both of them. They look really nice though be aware the glue used for speech bubbles etc has degraded with age and it's not unusual for art of that era to have the speech/text bubbles come loose or fall off.

I'm a fan of his work. Got End of the Road rerelease the other week and it brought back so many memories of those wonderfull UK Marvel days.

Blimey makes the £125 I paid for 302's cover art look like a bargain. And that was only last year. I suppose US cover art is worth more.

Currently standing at £310 with about three days left. In the last few minutes of the auction it'll most likely shoot up by another £100.

Yikes. The price of TF artwork sure has shot up. Can't see me buying more any time soon. Same here. I'm glad I got my haul when this stuff was worth very little in the comic art market. Most I ever paid was £54 for a page from Warrior School inc air mail and packing costs from the US. Even the 2 covers I have were £80 for the pair inc p and p direct from the artist, signed. -Ralph

Yeah, be a few years before it drops in price again, if it does.

I've never really been interested in owning original artwork. I acknowledge that a number of fans consider them a must-have purchase but I'm not one of them. Give me a piece of artwork that one of the artists at Auto Assembly have done for me and I'm happy.

*looks at first auction*
'will not mail out anything overseas without tracking and insurance, which is usually between $60-90. The option to ship for as little as $25 by boat is available, however will take approximately 3 months to get there. '
*coughbullshitcough*
----
*looks at second auction*
ARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH! LONGTOOTH ARTWORK!
----
Incidentally, most of the artwork for the Micromaster Wrestling issue has been sitting unsold on an art website for years. Unfortunately, it was saved in the favourites on the last computer and I'm jiggered if I can remember the name.
