Spine coloured moans aside, the Target of The Star Beast is pretty good. Better than the TV version, in grand Target tradition.

Little more than a transcript of what was on screen. No additions or expansion of any kind. This should have been great: there was so much opportunity to expand on the No-Things, the Ship, etc. One for Target completists only. -Ralph

Disappointing to hear, that as you say was ripe for a bit more.

Read the novelisation of the repeat (!) of THE EVIL OF THE DALEKS. It is mad that this exists. Fine for what it is, but not essential.
I don't believe for one moment that 'Fraser Hines' wrote a word of this. I suspect all the lifting was done by 'with Mike Tucker and Steve Cole'.

Very inventive, using tricks that can be done in print but not on screen and expanding and filling out the story impressively. Highly recommended. Best Target since The Day of the Doctor. -Ralph

Reading SCRATCHMAN. I don't believe for a second that Lord Tom wrote a word of this. The prose style is a lot like WITH JAMES GOSS.
Immense fun though.
