Is the Das Boot series a remake or a follow on?

It's more a follow on. Set in 1942 - with the enigma machine having been cracked. There's two story strands - one on the U-Boat and the other with a resistance group in La Rochelle.
Subtitled.

I see most big blockbusters in the cinema these days. But sometimes I see a trailer for one and decide not to give them my money. One recent example was 'Aquaman'. Another, from a few years back, was 'Independence Day: Resurgence'.
I see it is on Channel 4 tonight.
Radio Times gives it two stars.
Having seen the original film so many times, I have to watch this now it's on the telly.
I have a large pizza lined up, and wine in the fridge.
And trepidation in my heart.

I'm not sure if I've seen that or not.
Back when the late lamented Lovefilm provided me with films each week, I had an online record through Amazon of what I'd rented. Now I haven't got a clue what I've seen and what I haven't. It's most depressing.

I watched the trailer for Resurgence. I have seen that, I'm sure. Must have been so good I blanked it from my mind.
Reckon tonight will be the war film Netflix put up recently about Hawker Hurricane fighters in WW2.

'Independence Day: Resurgence'. I see it is on Channel 4 tonight. Yeah, that was awful, all right. Brings home how much the original film depended on Will Smith to make it watchable. Martin

I've had some time to myself in the flat the past couple of weeks so I've been Watching Stuff!
Finished season 2 of Daredevil; not as strong as season 1 but still very good and I liked what they did with the Punisher, enough to be curious about his solo show. I've started the Defenders; I got the impression people hated it but it seems kind of OK? Not nearly on the level of DD or Jessica Jones, of course, but nothing to hate. I am only two episodes in though.
I watched all three of the more recent X-Men films for the first time now they're all on Netflix. First Class was great; DoFP was okay-to-good enlivened by the brilliant Quicksilver sequence; Apocalypse was a brilliant Quicksilver sequence surrounded by a very dull and unengaging movie that wasted some great acting talent. But crikey Quicksilver is so good in these films.
Rewatched Heat for what must be the first time in almost 20 years last night. I looked at the running time and thought I'd split it over two watchings, but it just breezed by. What an excellent film.

First Class is an absolute belter.
Remember seeing that with the Kaptain and Burns. We all went out of the cinema very happy and hopeful of the direction of the X-Films.

Not unjust.
