They appear to have been removed overnight, probably at Lego's request.

I love the Death Star Escape and Praetorian Guard sets!
The 4+ models also look fairly decent for what they are, especially the TIE. It's nice to see the iconic ships available simplified and at a reasonable price, seems like a good move to me.

Not spotted the hinge on the Death Star Escape set last time, which used a different picture of the set closed up
Still think it might connect to something

The dewback looks superb!
And I agree it is good to see decent ship models at a kid friendly price for a change.

Impulse purchase.
Asda online had a Harry Potter bundle, Hogwarts and the Whomping Willow save 25% on the individual prices.
I could not resist. Even though I think I already have both the previous Hogwarts.

Also is it my imagination or is the lego Star Wars advent calendar (and possibly the others) not doing so well this year? Loads of places have them for £18-20 when normally they have long sold out by now and I don't remember the price ever dropping below £20 before.

I got the same feeling over here - you can currently get it at half price, €14.99, which is astonishing.
Have to say none of the LEGO advent calendars appealed so much this year. The daughter has got quite a neat looking Playmobil one.

There does seem more competition each year which is probably part of it, but also this years SW set was pretty undewhelming.
My interest is mostly based on the minifigures so this year is really poor. Every previous set has had between 8-10 figures. This year only has 7, 2 of which are some of the most common droids around. And worse non are Christmas themed. I suppose you could consider the snowman both the 8th figure and Christmas figure, but I wont, because it isn't.
Only up side was Rose being included as she was only available in a £40 set before.

That price could well be driving sales. The RRP is £25 for SW and £22 for City which I think is a bit cheaper.

Interesting, over here the respective RRPs are €30 and €20 making SW more expensive and City cheaper!
It's quite shocking to see the discounted stacks when just a couple of years ago they would be like gold dust.

Yeah, I've always wanted one and this year when I've been more in a position to, neither are particularly exciting

Competition for novelty advent calenders is much more fierce now. There are even booze ones these days!!!
The LEGO ones used to really stand out but now they are part of a crowd of similar novelty products this time of year.

This years is easily the worst Star Wars one they've done.
I think a Harry Potter Advent Calendar would have been really good. Lots of fun christmas recolours to choose from. The Sorting Hat done in red and white. Hagrid as Santa (or the more obvious Dumbledore). Dobby as a Christmas Elf. Dudley on Christmas morning opening his playstation. Any of the Weasleys or Harry and Hermione wearing their Christmas jumpers.
I mean each of the seven books did Christmas and offer potential lego sets that Lego have never done.

Asda.com, the george site has a pretty good offer on lego. spend over £100 get 20%, they have also just knocked off about 25% off a lot of the bigger Star Wars sets.
Sandcrawler and First Orders AtATish thing comes to about £122.
Instore a lot of the smaller sets have been reduced as well.
