Read up to 2073. Pat Mills rules the roost there I think. Savage and ABC both essential reading; best of the crop. I'm really coming round to the way he is uniting all his stories more obviously into one ongoing continuity. Having Quartz in both stories is great. Wouldn't mind seeing a new artist on the warriors though.
Three average Dredd tales. Bad Company is what it is, too simple to be engaging beyond the eye-burning nature of the art. Brass Sun is still good stuff, but seems to be drifting further away from the direction the first three books had.

I'd love to help Browny, because you've done me several good turns in the past, but I don't live anywhere near a comic shop. Maybe I need to make it a mission to find one.

I bet it'll be transparent next week. I think their distribution works a few weeks in advance*, so this one may have come direct instead of through the usual process. You are correct. Transparent this week, which is a shame as the grey one was made of a different and far more durable material. I had to cut that one open! -Ralph

I need a big favour from a hub mate, I cant make FCBD as my fiancée (sounds so weird after 14 years as girlfriend!) have a meeting about the wedding, so is anyone able to pick up the following; I know its a big ask but they are all Free comic book titles, anyone able to help me out? The shop I use has a policy of only 2 FCBD comics per customer on the day so I am unable to assist. -Ralph

Prepare for dings, dents, folds and the occasional small tears. It's a pity they don't look after their progs better. This is why the new free art print idea is pointless with the Meg. I haven't yet had one arrive in a good enough condition to use for anything.

Anyone else read the Nemesis essay that came with the Meg this month? Interesting enough analysis and well written, I like things like that, but I'm wondering how this came into being. Was it always intended for this format, or has it been shoehorned in from somewhere else? It's almost like it's a five part magazine article that didn't have a home.

I thought it was fine but would have been better placed as a Megazine article or two.

That's what I was thinking. I reckon it started out as that, but spread over five months they thought it would give too much coverage to a non-Dredd story.

I thought that, but I also note that searching for FCBD 2000ADs on eBay always returns a ton of last year's going for peanuts, so I'll probably wait a few months and try then to avoid the scalpers.

It's a good story, but I was a little disappointed it's only three years old; still easily memorable. Very excited though that next month's is Lofty's One Man Luftwaffe.

Not yet, my reading time has been going on something else recently, which I shall talk about elsewhere later. Today, maybe tomorrow.
All I've read from this week's prog is the Dredd - fab payoff line - and to check what the Meg's floppy was.
