So this week's Dredd... There had to be a reason why Guatemala was Hershey's Deathbed request and now we find out why. The dialogue is more than a little unclear on if Elinora Gracia is the actual Hershey's daughter.... or sister or possibly a Clone's daughter. But it's a relative of some sort. IF it is Hershey's daughter, I can't quite find a nine month period for Hershey to have gone under cover abroad for it to happen. I did think Judge Child - Apocalypse War but she's in The Fink right in the middle of that. Next option would be between Graveyard Shift and Seven Samurai, after which she becomes council of five. I seem to remember a story about a year ago, possibly Meg, that touched on Hershey's background and seemed to insinuate Dredd pulled her from an abusive home and got her into the academy - anyone recall when and where that was? (EDIT: I may be misremembering, this might be an Anderson story) Looking ahead The human situation in Guatemala gets grimmer and grimmer, and I don't see this ending well all round

Just spent the last hour playing the Judge Dredd android/iOS game promoted in the last thrillcast. Not too bad. Tutorial left me a little confused but I'm figuring it out. For a free to play game I've yet to see an advert or felt the need to make in-app purchases.

It is getting to the point where I am now finding it hard to keep track of how many titles Rebellion are putting out now. If their attempts to revitalise UK comics dies they certainly made a good go at it.

Interesting. I've liked the various best of runs over the years. Max worked quite well. A Rebellion Years version could be good but you have to wonder what they'd use as good quality material that isn't served by its own trade paperbacks.
Would they put in the top tier series because they're not widely known in the US to try and give the brand a foothold, or put in mid-card stuff like we get in the bagged floppy with the Megazine as a way of enticing readers to buy other books of complete stories?

I do miss The Best of 2000ad every month - a big slab of reading on newsprint.
I wonder what series we will see reprinted over the course of the run.

And the companion title THE COMPLETE JUDGE DREDD: THE LAW IN ORDER. The best way to read The Apocalypse War.

Got caught up on the train this morning. Enjoying Dreddd and Brink in Tooth loads: otherwise not so much. Deadworld needs to fuck off: that guy cannot write for toffee. Dafoe is utterly tedious. Time for it to go away for good.
Megazine is alright. Enjoying Anderson otherwise it's all just 'there'. Lawless can't come back soon enough!
13th Floor Special was excellent. Rebellion finally getting a handle on these specials. Great to see John Stokes handling so much of it.
