First image of the B&M sets due end of the month. Not very clear. Just confirms what we knew before - the only one of these nine figures that isn't a straight reissue is the Attack Cyberman, because that one when it came out before was a green gunked up version with a removable faceplate. This is the first time there's been a clean Attack style Cyberman. But... It needs a clearer picture to be sure what it is. The first 'Attack' Cyberman released was a black, stealth version, but it was a repaint of the Earthshock one so its jaw and boots were wrong. Then they did the gunked up one, which fixed the boots. So the question is - does the B&M one have the Earthshock head, or the right head with the faceplate just stuck on. The Tomb Controller is a good reissue as it was a BAF last time round. But you can't help but feel the monsters set is somewhat random - two classic Cybermen and a new series Sontaran? what? The other two are nicely themed for what they are, and the Tom set is brilliant if you don't have those figs, but there's no attempt here to slip in something for the collector, like the Pertwee set last year with the variants in. Disappointing when so much could be done with the huge number of moulds that exist for this line.

B&M sets are appearing in shops: It would seem this release has some minor paint variations - K9 is in a shade closer to screen accurate than the last one, Tom's coat is brown as opposed to purple/brown when this figure was last used, and Leela has blue eyes instead of the brown this one had last time. The Tomb Controller is a paint variant, much darker head and stronger brain detailing, but it looks like although the Attack Cyber has the right feet, he has the glass jaw head from the Earthshock one. Maybe. Dunno. The jaws on the Attack Cybers were a darker colour than the rest of the face. Might be right.

Picked up the latest 5" Capaldi in Forbidden Planet. I'd got used to paying £15 at least for singles but he was 'only' a tenner.
I was very tempted to binge on £10 Dalek and third doctor enemy sets but didn't want to have to carry them.

It would be worth ten quid to have a Drashig on each hand. They could talk to each other.
Also, having paid full whack for these sets back in the day there's a compulsion to buy them again just because they're so cheap. I'm sure that third doctor enemies set was forty quid when it came out.

Asdaland now sells TARDIS CAKE. Yes that is what it is called. A giant cake in the shape of the TARDIS in a box marked as DOCTOR WHO UNIVERSE with a nice illustration of Doctors 10, 11 and 12.

Woah. I was only lamenting the lack of an announcement about any B&M Who figures on the way home tonight. This is fantastic! I can't believe they've got a whole new figure!
Edit: Which was apparently an Amazon exclusive Bill Potts that doesn't seem to have come out.

I'd not seen that Bill one before, but it seems it was supposed to be an Amazon exclusive, but I can't find any evidence it actually came out. Did I just miss that entirely? I'd given up thinking that line would get any new figures.

That brigadier figure is using the original Captain Jack body from waaay back at the start of the line. The Talons Tom is one very frequently asked for. Bit of a cheat using Pertwee's cape to do it, but it's better than nothing! Time Monster Pertwee albeit with an inaccurate TARDIS is an essential! Perfect to go with the Time Monster Master/TARDIS set of old.

Gallifrey Base tells us that the Bill figure is actually a mash up of two Abby (Primeval) figures with a new Bill head sculpt!
