I have rather wisely taken the day off work to nurse the various aches and pains from yesterday's Half Marathon. Three weeks till my next one, but no running this week as I let myself recover.
Lazy day, will head to Asda for Milk and milkshake syrup and spend the day drawing/ and awaiting the arrival of the Plastic Saurian Pontiff that is the Dinopope.

Sounds like a good plan Andy. I am sadly back at work today, but on the bright side it is a nice sunny one which does tend to make things look better.

Lord I feel awful. Was at Hospital by 8:20 this morning for 9am appointment. That was late They then send me for a blood test: hour wait. Fortunatley I had the Also People with me.
Did Swindon travel shop and the weekly asda restock look on the way back.
Shattered. Bath then bed.

Ralph finds all the best Youtube vids...
I've spent a few days sorting out stuff - clutter and things on disks. Mostly uninteresting but I did find the rather good You Only Live Twice radio adaptation which I'd only heard once before. It could do with being longer but Michael Jayston is a great Bond.

Long day for me already Up at 2.45 to take Dad to work. Bought a massive load of 2000AD comics at a car boot sale thats on top of 250 I bought from the same guy on Sunday. I think I now have every issue between 120 and 800-900. Also got a complete run of Toxic and 30 odd original Captain Britain comics.
So much reading not enough time.

Gah I hate my mobile network. Just spent 45 minutes arguing that I'm due a £30 discount off the price of my next phone based on a reward scheme Virgin mobile offer. Last week my account showed the £30, today it was £10. I called to query this and was told I was lying after speaking to her manager who basically said the same thing I asked to be put through to the cancellation department as this came at the end of 2 or 3 months irritation over the issue. After complaining there about what is a much longer story than I just gave I was offered a further reduction to my monthly bill if I stayed, its now down to £8 on a rolling monthly contract giving me 3000 minute 3000 text and 1gb data which is so much ludicrously more than I need.
The daft thing is rather than giving me the £20 discount that I possibly wouldn't even use and if I did would be buying a new product that would keep me tied to them for even longer they've just had to give me £2 per month off my bill to stop me leaving.
In 10 months I'll have got the £20 back and every year after that its going to cost them another £24 plus there's no bloody way I'm now buying the phone through them so they are down what I would have paid after the discount for it.
And they now have an unhappy customer bitching about them on the net. Bravo Virgin.

Been checking out this Jurassic Clergyman further. It seems like his team could be Dinobots B team or something. I don't know the names, but I like that instead of re-making the Dinobots, they are thier own little squad. The colour scheme is a good choice.
I especially like that the altmodes are Dinosaurs not used before (apart from some of the Neo cast).
More technobeasts is good. Is this combiner out over here?

Ah hah! So he has been safely retrieved, that is excellent.
I reckon he is one of the best of the PCC five-packs. Unified colours, great sculpts on the core-unit and the drones - and he is stable enough that mine is currently standing perfectly securely on the arm of my sofa. (Muttering something about renegotiations of the Treaty of Living-Room and the necessity of establishing a Dino-Papal state or somesuch).

I rode back from reading today on a train with the entertainment screens installed (coach c for anyone who may be traveling First Great Western anytime soon) They offer a five minute free trial and in the options is a map, powered by gps showing the trains current position, speed and height above sea level. How cool is that?
Anyone, say travelling from Cardiff to Swindon in the near future, needs to give it a go.

I have walked past them indifferently on my way to the quiet coach (coach A), my coach of choice for peaceful book-reading, many times. Martin
