Shockwave or Soundwave, Please Lord, for me. Gotta be large enough though! i.e. 10 to 12 inches high! You know I'm right. You know it. You don't think you do, but you do. You do. You. You know who you are.

One of those, or Galvatron!

BBTS has preorders up for $250. So they are either estimating to drum up early business and they'll amend when they have more details, the figure is hugely overpriced or its gonna be large and/or have electronics.

The price is pretty high - and according to BBTS they have pricing info - which means that's the price - period. Even with the lousy exchange rate - that means the wholesale price is also pretty high.
This can only mean one thing:
It's Star Saber and Victory Leo - SET.

Galvatron would be nice to see. I've never bought a MP toy, costs too much I think. I can in a way understand why though but still...
They can easily end up doing two Galvatrons - one like the G1 toy colours and one like the Movie colours....However, a real Masterpiece would be a UNICRON!!! Imagine that eh?! It'd have to be twice the size of an ordinary MP figure perhaps....
Prowl would be nice, a G1 style version as a Datsun, again thinking from the perspective of reuse of mold and retooling new parts so he can be issued as Bluestreak etc...Then Shockwave, however, another interesting one would either have to be Kup or Blurr in G1 goodness style...

If it is another /version/ of G1 Prime, like a Powermaster Prime, then I'd be all over it. Otherwise if it is just another remake of the original design, then argh D:

It's Star Saber and Victory Leo. I really don't know what the debate is all about.

I had my hopes up for either a Shockwave, Soundwave or Galvatron.
But if it's another Optimus, then I will put my Masterpiece erection to use elsewhere.
BUT! If, as Matt has suggested, it's a Powermaster Prime, then I am interested again!

Powermaster Prime would be...well...frickin' awesome :-)
But given that it's Takara-Tomy, wouldn't they have to make it God Ginrai - and therefore also include God Bomber??
A fully poseable God Bomber??
This would definitely be worth the price!!

Sorry for the double post - but this pretty much means it's definitely Powermaster Prime: "MP-10 comes with a human figure that can fit into the driver sit. It is a new mold, smaller figure/trailer than MP-04, but more Japan animate look!" from : www.robotkingdom.com/services/eshop/main.php?action=details&CatType&II=TFTRMP10&lang=us&CatIDI mean - logically: The only case of a human sitting inside Convoy and "Japanese anime" IS Masterforce and God Ginrai. So... this will be Ginrai and he will be able to suit up and transform the truck/cab into God Ginrai. If God Bomber is also part of the set - this will probably be the most amazing Transformer made to date! Pete

Ok - true...I got a bit mixed up there... Ginrai is the truck driver... :-)

Ginrai is the truck driver and the smaller "Optimus Prime" look alike Super Ginrai is the combined robot and truck God Ginrai is Super Ginrai combined with God Bomber

All you need to know is that if the next MP is a Powermaster Optimus Prime (or Godmaster Super Duper Gindrinker) then you'll need to keep your next baby's placenta as down payment.

Yes, well maybe, there are elements of MP1 that it does seem to have improved on, but not at $250.

According to those pics, 'Convoy Gun' is housed within backside, apparently.

"Convoy can transform by one touch"
That made me lol!
To pricey especially when I already have the MP-01.. I'd possibly condsider a straight swap though?

I honestly wonder whether it's even any better than MP-01. I mean - the legs are, in my opinion, worse. The fuel containers are now square - on MP-01 they were roundish.
In fact, the truck mode is also worse - or so it seems.
It's different, the chest looks sleeker, and certain elements seem to look better...but...was this necessary?
I mean - when Yamato produced 1:60 version 2.0 VF-1s the differences were HUGE - mainly things like for version 1.0 the legs literally came off for transformation to robot mode - because they didn't know how to engineer it without having the legs be removable.
Version 2.0 has a swing bar and a number of other improvements...
But this...it's just a slightly different design. The size is smaller so technically it can be "in scale" with Rodimus Prime...but..who cares?
If there's any existing Masterpiece that needs a significant remake as a version 2.0 it's actually Megatron - not Convoy.
But in general, given how many Transformers there are - they really could have put their time and effort into something more worthwhile - a whole new character.
But I guess this is JP market focused - the main hero character always sells well there; and it usually works for most super robot anime where there's often just ONE robot in the whole show anyways (with a few exceptions).
But for Transformers, where you have tons of these guys running around... doesn't work well...
People on Seibertron are speculating whether the new mould is Ultra Magnus armor compatible.
If it is, and if they make MP Ultra Magnus (with proper armor) on this new mould - THAT I would buy.
This - no.
I much prefer my Movie Prime which cost me roughly 30 USD and is comparative in quality to a MP toy anyways (with the one significant drawback being unposeable fingers)

Necessary? Hmmm. Not sure. Tis fine to do a new Convoy, but it does come across as a bit of a wind-up to announce a new one less than a month after making a big deal of the last one being FINAL CONVOY. Bit silly! It doth make my head scratch. It looks nice, but I am unsure why it wasn't held back for a bit and another character done first. I am clueless!

Bah! I'm disappointed.
Still, if the cab/robot is smaller maybe this means a new, PROPER, MP Ultra Magnus is on the way?
