I found the Siege micromasters and battlemasters in Toys R Us yesterday while doing a little Christmas shopping, so picked up Blowpipe to complement TR Triggerhappy.
Not bad at all! Doesn't have the complexity and posability of the Legends Targetmasters, but looks the part and feels very solid. Jury is out on the "fire blast", I can't imagine making a lot of use of those. I dug out Triggerhappy and it's nice to see him back as a Targetmaster, but also nice just to fiddle with Triggerhappy again. So great.
Having seen the micromasters in-person now, the only pair that was doing anything for me were the Decepticons, but being wave 1, and at this time of year, I am happy to hold off until they get some kind of discount. Genuinely dislike the Autobot cars, think the originals have much nicer proportions.

Popped Novastar out. My word she's floppy compared to Moonracer. People usually blame mould degradation for that, but I think there are more factors involved these days. The grey pieces feel like a really soft plastic too.
Anyway, I think the car mode on these figures is cool and if your can tune out the backpack and kibble on the legs the robot is pretty good too. Good companion for Moonracer. Deffo going to add Greenlight. Think I'll stick with Legends Chromia though for mould variety.

A market stall acquisition, same stall had Swerve and a Pyro trailer which a couple of years ago was united with it's cab/robot.
Now I need two guns, a belt and a sword....

Really quite impressed with Siege Flywheels - it's a very solid, sturdy-feeling figure. It's let down a little by the tabbing problems in tank mode but overall it feels of a higher quality than many POTP figures. Paint apps, transformation (he's almost a mini TR Overlord) and posability are good.
Disappointed by the lack of a character card, I'd been enjoying those and found them a nice little piece of art to keep in lieu of the packaging.
Fascinated that the individual guns are getting names and tech specs, that had passed me by.

Nemesis Pottop is out of his box. I do like this mould and it looks great in black. The toyhax label set for him arrived earlier in the week, so there's going to be a stickering session tomorrow.

It also cures all the wrong colour in wrong place problems the original had!

Nothing! But I did pick up Siege Sideswipe and Hound at the weekend, and found myself in possession of Cog also. So far only opened Cog, and I like him. He didn't quite wow me as much as I expected - the "pulling him apart" bit is fairly basic, nothing complex to it. But already enjoying tacking him onto other figures, so we'll see how it all goes. I'll open the other two today as compensation for nowt yesterday...

Today I picked up some Bot Bots (great wee toys. I’ve now lost the one who turns into a burger to my eldest who thinks it’s hysterical).
Also snagged Seige Optimus who continued the really positive trend in Seige bots, until I was mostly through transforming him into truck mode and realised the bumper piece was nowhere to be seen. Back to Smyths tomorrow sadly :-(
A real pity because he’s brilliant. Hopefully they’ve got another he can be swapped for.

Just leave me an Optimus for tomorrow 😃
Looked like just the Voyagers so far. Didn’t look properly at how many they had, as I’d just quickly nabbed Prime. Will need to get Megs down the line.

Megs and Prime were available in hedge end today, only one of each on shelf tho.
I also got some BotBots today, I love them!

Bodes well. I'm not going that way until I go back to school, but if they have them they'll probably clog the shelves like Grimlock and Starscream before long. Good good!
I'm still trying to clear the current wants list before going into Siege. It's looking pretty short for once.

Wandered into A1 toys yesterday and in a moment of predictable weakness picked up Flywheels. He's a lovely toy, and whilst I remain a little disappointed that they didn't follow the same two-robot-combiner route as they did with Battletrap (because that was just fun) it does on the other hand result in a very solid, poseable, fun toy. I like him a lot.
Also having finally opened both Hound and Sideswipe they're also both great. The only real problem is that Sideswipe either needs to be a little taller, or his chest a little narrower - he looks kinda stocky.
So that's me having accidentally ended up with all of wave one. Heigh ho.

Siege Cog. My first toy of the line.
Before Siege came out I thought it looked uninspired and I was mostly disinterested but I've played with a fair chunk of the line now and they're all fairly solid fun toys. They also feel better made. Damn you, Hasblowwwww.

Yep, that's one thing all the Siege toys that I've handled so far have had going for them - they feel solid and so much better made than a lot of PottoP toys. I mean, compare Jazz to any of the Siege deluxes and you can feel an immediate improvement.

I havent opened any yet. They look so tiny and uninteresting in the box that i havent bothered. I also dont like the battle damage gimmick, the toys just look dirty.

I got the Conehead platinum reissue set for Christmas. To my astonishment, they have stickers that need to be applied. Not sure how I feel about that...
