I'm very torn about how I feel about Siege Mirage. It might be my first TF review on these boards, if only to get my head around it.

I await to hear your views as the resident Mirage expert on the forum. I keep looking at the pair - at the moment I'm leaning toward Classics as my definitive. But I may have to seek out the Henkei version to get the more G1 colour scheme.

With Turbo Tracks and Siege Red Alert, the 86 Diaclone line is looking pretty good with Smokescreen added. Question is whether to open T30 Skids or hope for a new Earthrise one along with Hoist & Grapple (and hopefully a replacement for Inferno)

Got Overlord and Barricade last week.
As mentioned elsewhere I opened Barricade last week. Very good.
Opened Overlord this morning and finally had the chance to compare to Takara's. From photos I'd assumed Takara's was superior, but in hand Hasbro's is more to my taste. Aside from the feet its very toy accurate (and even that's due to toy accurate tank mode) Hasbro gave it has more paint apps and even the stickers work really well. The helmets are different but equal. And I hadn't noticed that Takara remoulded the chest panels I assume for cartoon accuracy.

Got Siege Hotshot, Galaxy Prime, Brunt and studio series Ratchet (1st version). Haven't had time for anything but fiddling with Hotshot. I have the mold as Hound and it works for Cybertron defense Hotshot. Color is nice. Head sculpt good. Generally pleased. Prime looks bigger than Magnus. Maybe it's the wings. Hm. Maybe I should open them before talking about them...

Indeed. I am happy to get it but will still take my business elsewhere. And so the matter is satisfactorily concluded!

Got my smokescreen. Why did I buy some many of this mould.. Because they're all key characters! Apart from Barricade. I think Barricade is the best looking version of the mould hands-down. I think that the colour scheme really pops in a way that the other versions just don't. So far it is the only version of it that I've been tempted to get. (Not picked it up yet though - still mulling it over). Karl

The irony of Barricade is that although he the most redundant figure of the four from a purist's point of view, he is the best looking. But I ain't buyin' him sir, I ain't buyin' him.

Had a bit of a chance to fiddle with Omega Supreme today. Big lad! Slightly less impressive than Trypticon in some ways. I was really taken aback by Trypticon's urban sprawl, Omega is a bit more compact. Long drop, though

If you think he is the best looking version then isn't that a strong arguement for buying it? After all, buying plastic robots because we like them is what this is all about surely? (Genuinely curious btw, for avoidance of misunderstanding). Karl

Only because I'm an old fuddy duddy really. I know you're a fan of new names and characters coming into the line. I wish I was, but I'm old and grumpy and all I really want is new versions of the characters I love. Because I've already got Prowl, Bluestreak and Smokescreen, Barricade is surplus to requirements regardless of how nice he looks.
I don't mind when it's a different continuity, like I thought Strongarm was a great character in NuRiD and I have the warrior of her, and of course I am a Thunderhoof fan, but in Generations I just want the old guard.

Yes, you see, because you're young, vibrant, optimistic and enthusiastic!
I am not these things. I am old. To be honest, I am having fun getting excited by bits of the original range I've not explored before. The whole Micromaster thing has given me so many new characters to play with I have to make spreadsheets just to remember their names.
