I went on one of my irregular bulk buys from Japan earlier in the month. It arrived today and thankfully was full of mostly complete and good condition toys. Very relieved. Not sure I actually want any of it that much now that its here, but there was a translucent Animated Legends Prime that I don't think I had.
Now does anyone know where I can find a guide for identifying knock off ROTF leader class moulds? I know Ive read them before but couldnt find anything today.

Oooo. Takaras version of Generations Hoist is lovely. Amazing what a change of green will do.
Even more of an improvement than Henkei Hound changes to Classic Hound.

More fun discoveries in my new box of stuff. 2akaras Dotm arcee which is basically rottf chromia with some of the black plastic switched to grey. Im mean its atill a ridiculous toy but looks more intersting than chromia. TAV Black armour bumblebee, a nice repaint of rid bee with a metallic red sword. Really nice. Takaras clash of the transformers megatronus. Exactly the same as hasbros but for the tav version of the scannable sticker, but the first time ive seen the mould.
The translucent blue on animated legends prime. Looks fantastic when lit.

I remember that Bee. That was on my hit list for a long time but I don't think it came into the import shops here, it was an exclusive in Japan. Of all the recolours that mould got, that one looked fabulous. Far superior to the black repaint that Hasbro did. I think the only sighting we had was a really expensive one via Robot Kingdom.

Theres one on ebay for £26. The other 2 listed are £180 and £300 which seems optimistic.

Theres one on ebay for £26. Ooh. I'd have jumped on that a couple of years ago. I think that ship has sailed now though.

Visited the parentals for lunch. I was presented with a package. Turns out when I preordered Lancer way back when, I wasn't sure where I'd be living when ID finally got them in, so I had it it sent there. It being ID don't send dispatch emails, I was quite surprised to find this has been sat there all week waiting for me to arrive. So, Lancer. I think that means I now have all or Orthia's bits. It also means ID now have Lancer, which is an exclusive to them and therefore the only place Ms Orange will turn up in the UK.

During my absence, I've picked up a Redwing for £20. LTS (Local Toy Shop) didn't want to charge more than that because the box was no bigger than the other deluxe Selects.
And who am I to ignore an offer like that?

Jealous of that.
MP Black Aracnia is on her way from Japan. Should arrive Tuesday. Looking forward to it, but wish Amazon had taken the payment 6 months ago. Timing was not great.

Thanks to the magnificence of Phil and being in the right thread at the right time, I now have Siege Ratchet! Just in time for the weekend.
edit: Adding him to my spreadsheet, he is my 73rd Generations figure this year. Only Phil could have managed that.

I'm not even joking about that. I went to update the total and it smacked me in the face.

Broke and picked up the... Evergreen "Alpha" (Legends-sized) Optimus Prime last night out of morbid curiosity, since it was only four quid in B&M, and... it's... not bad actually. Sure, the look of the truck isn't great, but that's also true of a lot of the main-line Primes, also. Some unexpectedly different steps to the transformation, too. The only thing it's missing is elbows - if it had those it'd be a fantastic pocket money toy.

I nearly bought one, but £4 feels about a pound too much for such tat, and Colin said his Grimlock's arms both fell off

I mean the larger Grimlock felt too expensive for £8, and yeah, I guess it'd be better at three quid. But I was still less disappointed than I was expecting to be. So you know.

In relevant news, Ratchet's rather good. I also read on ID's FB the they're expecting more in.
