Took delivery of Blott, Sinnertwin & Cutthroat which I ordered from FP at £9/£5/£5 in their post Xmas sale. Dithered over Siege Ironhide @ £9 and lost. Any advice over getting the remaining Terrorcons? eBay seems best bet.

Keep an eye on Amazon.com for Rippersnapper. Got mine off there recently for under a tenner including postage. I am monitoring all sources for a cheap Hun-gurr...

If it drops to £20 all in I'll grab a Hun-gurr from there.

Are you wanting to shift your stuff over from Toph yet? I'm thinking about getting my Siege stuff sent over along with Urzu's Micromasters cos I can send those up to him. Given we work pretty close to each other we could probably arrange a quick meet somewhere on the M27 for a handover.

First acquisition of 2020 - Transformers Authentics Alpha Grimlock (the little one). Having been not completely disappointed by the similar-price-pointed Prime I thought I'd give this a stab... and it's awful. The joints are just all wrong leaving him looking all gangly, the very hollow legs are somehow even worse than on Prime, and the barely-molded T-Rex-mode arms are a killer. Oh well. At least this reinforces my "no impulse purchases for 2020" rule.

Just won a Galaxy Shuttle. Its yellowing is not subtle. Sadly it lacks either wing But does have its tail fin thing. I dont know, it might be a knockoff? But hey at least its not Blastoff. Its my first purchase of the year. And was cheap so will bring cheer.

This evening I opened not one but two Transformers!
PotP Blackwing. Nice enough.
PotP Dreadwind. Floppy, loose joints. Wings keep popping off, Prime Armour was broken while on the card it turns out.
I did combine the two into Dreadwing, but eh.. whatever. Only instructions for the Darkwing half.
Interesting that Darkwing is described as a Duocon in the instructions.

Terrible. You must never again open toys to avoid disappointment.
Actually, I wonder frequently if that's why I avoid opening them. When they're sealed they're really good.

Not new but I finally got around to removing LG Grand and Gran from the box. Maximus must continue to wait.

Fan Vote 3 pack has arrived. It's desperate how obvious Aragon was wedged into this at the last minute. I've never seen Transformers packaged like this before. Even the art has been doctored to add him in - in bits.

On the penultimate day of January I break my vow of not spending too much this year and pick up two of the new Botbot arcade packs from Smyths. Still, at least I got a good exercise out of it - despite the return journey being mostly downhill, the wind was so strong that I was having to keep pedalling to keep going.

All toys ever made pale before the Quintesson judge. All toys before it are now redundant. Peak toy has been reach.

It's the perfect match, isn't it. The Hubber who most puts others on trial now has his own mini judge.

The irony of this is we know full well if there is a Quintesson judge in the Generations line, it won't have the click feature. It'll just be a turning head.

Bit of a catch up.
Select Lancer and Smokescreen picked up at the Birmingham meet 2 weeks ago. With Lancer I now have 4 of the mould so could finally combiner mode them. They look surprisingly good on Elita who is a lot more stable than I had remembered. In terms of limb mode the mould is probably my favourite of the Combiner Wars gimmick.
LG God Bomber arrived today. From the negativity Id heard I assumed it was going to be really bad, but Im enjoying it so far. It might help I got it second hand so it only cost about half the original price. Not had a chance to combine with Prime yet.
Beast Wars II Bath Towel arrived too. Slightly diappointed it isnt thicker. I can now understand why Ralph had to stop using it before it disintergrated. Still its BWII towel and I own it. Yup!
Got a mixed lot last week. CW leader class Starscream was in there missing a tailfin and one or two lasers, I had forgotten how wrong the mould was for those guys.

Pre-orders of Studio Series Mixmaster and Scavenger arrived yesterday. Mixmaster's okay, but actually getting him into truck mode is a bit of a pain of parts-alignment (still not as bad as, say, 2007 Leader Sentinel Prime, but still), and disappointing that it seems that some of his transformation into his Devastator component will require some parts-forming. Oh well. Scavenger I've not transformed yet, but seems solid enough and interesting enough in robot mode, so we'll see...

Parcelfarce managed to find me today so I now own Earthrise Op, Grapple and Starscream.
Op is so much fun, love it.
Starscream is exactly as you'd expect. Slightly scary moment undoing it's chest but otherwise they've done good here.
Grapple is fab as I expected but the peg issue with the trailer base and the soles of the feet is very real. I experimented with putting one of the pegs in and found it far too tight so resorted to surgery. I widened the holes, and now the pegs are a bit loose but aren't going to break.
Both Grapple and Starscream could have done with 5mm pegs at the back of their weapons
