I was in bed for half past eight last night! Rock and roll. Nausea this morning. Thankgoodness I'm mostly working out of office today so I can get some air.

I am rubbish at being lazy. Though I could really use a few days lolling about I'm keeping myself busy. Still the Star Wars Blu's and Day of the Daleks are out on Monday so maybe I'll have better luck then.

The working week has ended, and now I am at home with my feet up. It feels great to be done for a couple of days.
Mind you, I will be up and out tomorrow morning several hours before I would normally be out on a working morning so that I can head up to the Leuchars airshow and take in the static park before too many of the crowds get there. Out of the house by half past five on a Saturday. I think I may be a little bit nuts..... you might even say 'plane crazy....

I've just been hit on the head by a falling Cyberverse ark. Feel very woozy.

My bathroom is a disaster zone. someone splashed half a tu of water out of it tonight. Trying to get the carpet up broke 2 bottles.
Then the bpy slipped over in the water on the kitchen floor that had flowed/dripped through the ceiling.
I need sleep. Bit of a busy morning on the tech front at church tmw.
But my brain says......TING wide awake!

:\ Feel better soon, Phil.
Bit disconcerted by the fact that so many of the people I know are turning out to have a really shitty summer. One of them reckons it must be something in the air. Never rains but it pours, I guess.

Clearout phase 1 complete. At the end the month when visiting the parentals, phase 2 begins when I sort through stuff that's been in storage in the parentals garage for the past 2 years. Most of it I suspect will not have stored well and will likely be tossed but want to check through just in case. I haven't got room for much so likely will be charity shopping stuff if it's intact.
Should hear from letting agency in the next few days whether there is an option to extend the lease for 6 months past November and what hoops I have to jump through this time.

I have spent much of today curled up on the sofa nursing a pronounced headache - I think that I may be going down with something. If so, the drenching I got yesterday at the Leuchars airshow is probably not helping. The morning and much of the afternoon were cloudy and overcast - which had the benefit of forcing the RNLAF F-16 display pilot to use his "flat" routine. The result was a fast-paced, turning-and-burning, routine performed by a dark-blue and bright orange F-16 against a black and steadily lowering overcast, for my money the highlight of the solo displays. The weather held for most of the day - the drizzle may have dampened the crowd but it didn't deter the Patrouille De France from putting on a sparkling performance, or the Red Arrows from mounting their customarily wonderful display (flown as an eight-ship instead of nine, with the Red 4 slot left vacant in a touching tribute to the late Flt Lt Jon Egging). Indeed, the only display that was disrupted was, sadly, the Czech airforce's Gripen. A shame, as it was one of the highlights of last year. The rain only lasted on hour but it was heavy enough for it to carve straight through my waterproofs and leave me well and truly soaked. It was worth it though, just as it was very much worth the early start (05:20 from here).
I was sufficiently zonked that today has been strictly a couch day today. Back to work tomorrow though, but only for a four day week because of next weekends public holiday. Four days work, four days off, and then four days work again. I like the sound of that idea.
