I hope there will be songs!
Upon reflection, it is much closer to 'Pound Puppies' than 'MLP' so far, but you never know, I have heard talk that it is supposed to improve dramatically in ep 4 though that may just be nonsense.

I enjoyed it. As Ralph says it's not written down.
Also, whatever horrors happened before Optimus landed on earth must have been spectacular. He feels like the Furman written Prime.

One thing it did have over Prime is that it gave a clear and explicit setup for the show, letting us know the background, why the characters are on Earth, and why they are doing what they are doing. You'd think such details would be an obvious neccessity, but Prime completely missed setting itself up! The animation on Optimus Prime's mouth is scary!

And then his My Friends Are Judging Me, Kill Them moment. I like the setup, they basically stole the Town Called Eureka concept and moved it to an Island with alien robots. Its a good setup for a show that wont have Decepticons or a recognisable bad guy format. So far liking Blades a lot.

I am liking Blades too.
I do wish their designs were a little more iconic/less like scary monsters with pin-eyes and pointy teeth.

I actually rather like Rescuebots on the basis of what I have seen. It is genuinely funny and a little bit witty, the characters are fun to be around. The character dynamics amongst the Burns family and between them and the Rescue Bots is quite good.
I am surprised by how little the show talks down to the audience as well - there is even a tiny smattering of science education for the kids in places. The animation is a little stilted in places ( a hazard when you work in Flash I guess) but arguably better than Armada or Cybertron.
It is also a positive show with heroic characters in it doing good deeds. If I had a young kid it would be exactly the sort of thing I'd want them to watch.
Can we have a badge of the Autobot-logo-in-life-ring logo please Hasbro/Pannini/anyone because it is a smashing visual?
(It also does better at making me want to buy toys than any of the live-action movies - those made me dislike the characters and make me less likely to want to buy their plastic forms, this makes me like its characters instead)

I liked the little educational bit too, growing up I always liked knowing I had learned something while being entertained.

looking at when this has been posted! it's prob the Roll To The Rescue DVD, which it feels like we're being cheated, as it only has 6 eps instead of a full series

Still RB on DVD is welcome. With the hilarious war haunted Optimus being my favourite character.

Not as far as I know - it certainly doesn't appear to have reared its head on any of the kids channels I can see on my cable box.

Rescue bots (season one at least) is now on Amazon prime instant video. Means due to the wife having Prime I can watch season 1!
I had the first DVD, but there was no complete season 1, just episodes here and there in region 1.

Are we ever going to get Rescuebots released on DVD in the UK? You would think Hasbro would have it alongside the Marvel Superhero squad DVD seeing Hasbro make the toys for that series (I know its been cancelled but they do take up lots of space in Smyths Toy shops more than the normal Marvel toys)
