It's incredible that people would react like that.

Indeed. And I wish I could say that that one guy was the exception...
Elsewhere, this has not been a good week for me. Really need to find a way of chilling and relaxing and not thinking about stuff.

Times like these are I'm glad I live where I do. Once I saw an old man go down on his bike and we all crowded around to help him. Two young men helped him up and dusted him down, another picked up his groceries, I picked up his bike, etc. Yay for small villages!

It's incredible that people would react like that. That wasn't the worst of it. There was another random chap who came along, kicked the casualty, and laughed about it. -Ralph

I get the impression they might have gone for his wallet too had you not been there to make the save. What utter idiots! They must have been stupid to assume that calling the services costs money...

Unbelievable. Well, a bit too believable, but still.
Have some more karma. Maybe if we power you up on enough of it, next time you can shoot rainbows out of your chest at them or something!

Mrs Shockers was reading a book to Piglet earlier, and the book had French words next to the English words. Nothing too difficult, just things like 'Hello', and 'Blue' etc. Mrs Shockers spoke the French words to Piglet. After finishing, Piglet asked "Where does it say the French words, Mummy?" Mrs Shockers pointed to the French words. Then, in complete seriousness, Piglet asked "and where does it say you have to say them in a silly voice?".

Sorry to hear about the true depths of your experience there, Ralph. You do seem to attract the absolute moral dregs of society in the same way that I attract loonies and maniacs whenever I board a vehicle.

Busy week, at work tomorrow woo. Oh wait. Not woo.
Beavering away on CT-Alpha artwork as well. Managing to do more than 1 page a day at the moment too. 5 days and almost 7 pages.

Had a wave of nausea come over me from around 4am yesterday which was rather annoying as I had arranged an early finish from work and had planned some pub piloting/comic reading on the magic Ipad. Ended up in bed shortly after 9pm. On a Friday. On a payday Friday. Truly a rock 'n' roll lifestyle!
Matters not helped by too much rumination over certain life issues that never seem to go anywhere.

I've knackered myself by overwork this last fortnight, combined with a few short nights and the catching of a cold, so this weekend has been a write-off. However, I have a achieved a lot of positive results and managed to get on top of things, so the next few weeks should be a bit more fun / less pressure. The satisfaction of getting positive media coverage for something I've worked on (albeit uncredited, as I'm a civil servant) makes up for the loss of a weekend.

Well two weeks off draws to a close for me. It's been a fab time off, this last week in partic as it's been half-term and the First Born has been off as well. Coupla walks, bit of D.I.Y. done, coupla new figuroons, and hopefully finish off with a touch of gardening today, assisted by Piglet. Wriggler had/has her first cold, bless the little snotty thing. She's been ok with it, bit croupy at one point, but that soon passed. Problem is she hates having her nose cleaned, which, along with her dislike of sleeves, has resulted in a very cross baby at times. Back to work tmw for a rest!

A nice quiet day today - a short walk in the woods, some pottering in the garden and a bit of cupboard clearing out (disposing of four year-old shoe-polish containers that had fetched up in the corners of one of the kitchen cupboards for one thing) and then sat down to watch an Akira Kurosawa movie. Very good way to round off an enjoyable weekend all told.
