Oh! Oh! And we have a new computor monitor (lots of 'ors' there)! Our old one was about as old at the Apollo space flights, huge square thing. Now we have a swanky flat screeny wide one! It's lovely! It's so wide! Takes me half and hour to look from one side to the other! Tenis would be great on it.
Be safe out there, my Cyber Chumbs!!!!

The throat is the the latest bit of my anatomy to go wrong following conjunctivitus and a cold. Everytime I drink it feels like I am swallowing razor blades.

I am off today with a sore throat which has been laying me low on and off for over a week.
Leek and potato soup, tea, biscuits and West Coast Avengers are seeing me through.

I misread that as 'sore biscuit' and thought: "What on Earth is that?"
I'm not enjoying this week and am looking forward to the John Carter of Mars film at the end of it, which I hope is good tosh.

I misread that as 'sore biscuit' and thought: "What on Earth is that?" Given what "soggy biscuit" turned out to be, I think I'd rather not know.

Spent this afternoon attempting to stay awake at qork. Not because I was bored, just because I was extremely zonked for some reason. Ah well. Making good progress with stuff, and nearly at the midweek point.
I too am thinking that John Carter might be just the way to start the weekend - it does seem that each of the trailers makes it look more promising as good action nonsense - which may well be what I will need by the time it gets to the end of the week,

Bad, bad times at the work at the moment. I do wonder how much will be left in a few months. Fuck off, 'Big Society'. You actually have to pay for it, Cameron.

Had a rough night last night. Blaise woke up crying. I set her back to sleep and I didn't get back to sleep. Knockout drops or a cartoonised mallet by the side of the bed may be in order. I'm a very light sleeper.

Had a mixed week, starting with an emergency dentist visit last Saturday. Generally improved over the week with the so far lack of issue with TFCC order and today I got the voice over for my animation which is blowing my mind.
Death pants! Oh yes.

Odd week broken up by a day off sick, means it feels more like Tuesday than Friday. Throat still a little sore but finally seems to be clearing up (after almost a fortnight).
Had blood taken early this morning, which meant getting up early, which meant missing breakfast (I'm not good at getting up early), which meant missing coffee which always means an awful headache by mid-morning. I've been drifting through the day on paracetamol as a result.

Feel very flat and can't even be bothered to go vegetate in the local fleapit, even though there are a couple of films I want to see. Maybe tomorrow. Dragged down by bad things at work. It's horrible when folk in other teams don't know if they have a job next month. This is the consequences of folk trying to do helping jobs during the era of 'The Big Society'. The days of steady funding are over. My team may be safe until June. Beyond that, no idea, but other teams are screwed already. Awful.

and yet out there the need gets greater and greater. The church I go to is invovled in two charitable organisations, onje of which provides food and the other furniture. Demand for both services has gone through the roof in the last year or so.

Yes, but the Tories don't want to pay people to do the work. They want people to do it for free on a voluntary basis, but then they won't have money to live what with not having a paid job so need to sign on. Except that the Government has done a good job of convincing much of the population that folk signing on are scrounging scum. I despise the Tories. And the Liberal Democrats need a name change because they gave up understanding those two words a few years ago. I feel ashamed about having voted for them in the past.

Disabled scrounging scum which now find themselves villified throughout the tabloid media.
