That's not what they said when I gave the Marie Curie shop £1.50 for it.

You found an actual Transformer in a charity shop?!
Surely that doesn't happen these days.

Yup. A minty fresh Leadfoot in the Marie Curie charity shop this very week in a baggy for £1.50. Great condition. It has been probably a decade since I last found a TF in a charity shop!

Did he have his spinny disc thing?

Post by The Doctor on Aug 3, 2018 12:51:03 GMT
His mini-con? Nope. I imagine that was long gone. It may have got more play from the original owner as this commander figure has no yellowing on the white parts, no stress marks or paint scuffing and joints are stiff. It would have been nice to have the minicon but £1.50 towards a decent charity means no cause for complaint.
I am now on a PCC nostalgia bent.

Oh, sorry, I didn't clock the thread title. I was thinking the G2 one.
Hey, he looks cool. Nicely proportioned for that era of figure. PCC was frustrating for me as I couldn't find the sets. I have a lone Steamhammer still in search of his constructicon drones.

I'm totally wrong there. I thought 2010 sounded too recent. My Steamhammer is the Energon one.

I have now unconfused myself but have also realised that I've been under the incorrect assumption that Power Core Combiners are the same thing as the Energon Maximus ones. I didn't realise PCC was a self-contained line.

TheFu should have some PCC this year thanks to a very odd lot we've just won.
Couple of complete teams, couple of complete Scouts with Minicons, some spare Minicons and some spare limb sets......

I didn't realise PCC was a self-contained line. That would have meant GIANT PCCs or tiny Energon combiners. Either of which would have been great.

We already had a bit of a mixed assortment of them so we might get a few complete teams out of it, or just even more pick and mix.

There was a time, towards the end of Animated when the shelves were awash with movie tat that I just couldn't get on with, that I thought Transformers was over for me. Around 2009/10 when RotF had swamped everything, I really thought we'd reached the end and I tuned out for a year or two while I got excited by the Doctor Who Classics line instead. So that patch where Transformers 2010 got mixed up with RTS, Generations, everything else, I just haven't ever bothered to unpick it. PCC must have got lost in the middle there somewhere. I just remember going into TRU and seeing shelves and shelves of Bayverse inspired shite and coming out almost in tears that the end of days had arrived. It was only Masterpiece that got me through all that, and then when WfC/FoC arrived I kicked back into gear and found this forum. I genuinely remember buying the last of the Animated toys I could find and coming home, sticking them on the side and sitting down looking at them thinking, is that it now? are these the last Transformers I'll ever buy?
Thank fucking god they weren't.
