I hereby predict Laserbeak, and Buzzsaw with the inevitable Soundblaster repaint. They've done USB Ravage and headphone Rumble and Frenzy (and the TF United twin-pack). Laserbeak can hang out on his shoulder, sit on MP Megatron's arm... it's about time he got some love.

Hopefully the tapes will be sold separately. Really there are far too many to only package them with variants of Soundwave, though as a money making exercise I can imagine Takara doing exactly that. Soundwave Soundblaster Marvel comics Soundwave Music Label Soundwave each with different tapes.  Some 2 packs at £30-40 though would rule. |

Like Grimlock, Soundwave is one of those near-perfect moulds from back in the day. Similarly, I hope this is done just like the MP Grimlock: just add some articulation, upscale and you're done.

The book-style Soundwave reissue came with Laserbeak, who is more commonly associated with Soundwave while Buzzsaw was rarely seen in any media. Features they must have in Soundwave
sound chip with transforming noise - Armada/Energon Ultra Magnus has one.
Flip open cassette door like the original - but are they going to use cassette? I expect they are with keeping the toy G1.
Also the cassette door should amke a noise when you press it to open. They don't make much of a noise but if you try ejecting a cassette you do hear the release of the button & the cog the door is on. It doesn't need to be a sound chip - it should be the toy itself. There should be a spring in the door switch.

Hope is never silly, often disappointed, but never silly.
I too am disappointed, but not for that reason. I wanted the the cassette to be called "Condor", as is right and proper for a Japanese Soundwave release.
