Not as excited about this as the Wheeljack news, but if they do a really decent in-scale G1ick Bumblebee, I'll be very pleased!
Masterpiece-arama at the moment, baby!

If such a thing exists, it would really need to have the option of swappable heads: the cartoon type one and the original toy one.

Hope they managed to get the VW licence - didn't they have problems with that for Alternators due to VW not wanting to associate with the war angle?
It will be interesting to see what they do with scale here.

I hope he's small, smaller than the other MP Autobots.

Whether that would make him a big enough toy to justify the price point would be an interesting question. Karl

I thought given MP ethos he shall be an old beetle to match his Sunbow animation model (plus other MP figures are not updates - Fairlady Z, Peterbilt Cab, Contache). Car should be in scale with others imo, regardless of original figure minibot class.

Some darn annoying blacked-out images of MP Bumblebee floating about. Don't know how to link the image on my phone. Tformers have an image up. Can't tell much from the image, but the general shape looks nice. I hate these blacked-out teasers! Just give us a proper image!

Not even sure that "teaser" is a real photo, will wait and see what he actually looks like, doubtless will purchase regardless.

The toy will be out by the middle of next year in Japan, so it will exist, just that BBTS put up pre-orders way before Takara wanted to do any kind of figure preview (similar story for Wheeljack I think).

Hate to say it, but just going on that silhouette and the proportions it suggests... Toyworld's 'Bii' looks better IMHO. Never thought I'd say that about a Masterpiece.

Silhouettes are the stupidest marketing strategy I can think of, well aside from Mech Ideas handling of those Animated toys.
At the moment, the feet look a little big (though I expected that as theres no way to sensibly shrink the feet that I can think of) and it looks like theres a lot of back pack.
I wasn't too impressed by the silhouette of MP Wheeljack, but in the proper photos it looked much better so I hold out hope still.

Yeah, he looks all right. Not sure if it'll be better than Toyworld's Bumblebee though, as you say Shockie.
Looking forward to seeing it in colour. Maybe Takara will do a blue-limbed Marvel variant like they did with Grimlock.

A proper variant would be one with the actual proper original toy Bumblebee head. An obvious no-brainer. Or a repaint with a Goldbug head.
