At 9 months, "little" Coben is now pretty much a full-sized dog. Here he is posing for the camera as he dashes past in the muddy grass. He's having the time of his life!

Coben certainly is all grown up now isn't he?
And from the looks of that picture still has bundles of energy just more dog to go with it.

9 months? What have you been feeding him?

He's fed salmon and potato (as recommended by the vet as he's allergic to chicken and rice) twice a day. He also has a rawhide bone to chew on every so often when he's good.
Actually. He eats better than I do!
We've also trained him to jump up into the boot of the car. But a side effect of that is he is now able to jump up on the bed... particularly at six in the morning to lick your face and ask if he can go outside to play with his frisbee.

Not always.
We got him some "fish jerky" from the pet store last night. Big mistake... it is literally dried fish scales pressed together.
So when it was wake up time this morning, my face was covered in putrid fish smelling drool. Nice!

He's some size now. Glad to see he is terrorising you in the morning as all dogs seem to delight in.
Susie, thankfully isn't much for drooling, however, she is the exact right height to jump up at you and punch you in the balls.
Suddenly the drool doesn't seem so bad....

She punches everyone, except my dad. She's scared of him.

I wouldn't punch your dad in the balls either.

Coben's been in the wars a bit and had a little surgery on his foot last week. It's been no fun for him having that cone on his head, but as you can see, he struggles on when it's dinner time! All bandages are now off and we're just waiting for the stitches to dissolve and everything to heal before we can go for w-a-l-k-i-e-s again!

My first thought was that he had tried to escape The Village and that the Rover had got him D:
Hope he gets better soon!

Thanks guys!
Ms Grrl, a diet of salmon and potato and sardines on a Sunday is the key to a healthy coat of fur!

It's also the key to the dog farting all over the house!

Actually, no. A bad diet and too much "human" food makes dogs fart. A healthy diet makes for healthy bowels!

Indeed I have learned that with my cats. They get the fancy pants high quality food, the cheaper crud they put out makes them smell like a dead raccoon.
The oils in the fish you give him definitely makes that coat shine nicely.

Sometimes I wonder if we feed our pets better than we feed ourselves! If what you say is true about only human food makes them fart I think we have to feed them the good stuff if we want to avoid the house smelling something rotten!

Susie gets some human treats but mostly dog food. She's not much of a farter thankfully. But when she does...yikes!
Glad to hear Coben is on the mend!

Hopefully this evening we'll get the OK from the vet to allow Coben outside. He's been cooped up at home this last fortnight, and not one bit happy!
