While hunting for packaging for a special festive True Friending, I discovered a package in my bedroom. After a few moments puzzlement, due to it being positioned with another item I'd intended to TF a chum with, I remembered what it was and what the recipient did, or rather didn't do, to deserve this. The crime has rather sunk into the depths of time but justice will be served.

Post Office 16 - 17 George St, Richmond TW9 1JS g.co/kgs/7ztCh9Notice from the photos how covertly the post office is hidden in the smiths. My goodness! Let me tell you a little about Richmond: George St is one way, flowing right to left in front of the WHS picture. The station, the Tescos and the two alleys to the Thai are to the left. So my approach to the shop restricts my view of the sign, and I don't tend to look up for balance reasons. The only time I ever pass by the shop I'm on a bus. The bus stop is other side of the road, also to the left, so when we get off there I'm always looking out the door side of the bus, the other way, or dead ahead to see what the traffic is like towards the station. I genuinely have not seen that big sign before I saw the photo.

A tissue of lies! Fabrications! Gentlemen of the jury, Mr Ayres claims to have passed this Smiths, even shopped within it, and not noticed the Post Office sign! It was from this very establishment, from a self service machine contained within, that the Class Soundtrack was sent.

Yup, don't look up, concentrating on crowd navigation.
A self service machine in a post office? How does that work? I don't recall seeing one and I've certainly never used one!

A self service machine in a post office? How does that work? I don't recall seeing one and I've certainly never used one! It works like any other self service machine, as demonstrated by this image taken IN THE SMITHS IN QUESTION.

It is a good Clone, but I'd never manage a rucksack that big and my shoes are black.... and not in that good nick! And we all know the papers like to know who's shirts you wear, Big Phil! You can frequently be seen practicing along in the latest breezy numbers from Milan, Paris, or... Richmond....

Yup, don't look up, concentrating on crowd navigation. A self service machine in a post office? How does that work? I don't recall seeing one and I've certainly never used one! Very common around here. They work well for simple things but generally are manned by staff as well to help with anything beyond simple parcels or buying stamps. A member of staff is also needed to come out and collect your parcels.

Yep!
But it allowed one of the local major POs to make three full time members of staff 'redundant' just before the Christmas season kicked off. Smart...
