Spun off from the The Tracks Thread
Human figures with MPs! Good or bad?! Does Raul have eyes?!?! Spike is mostly terrible. (his name's Raul isn't it?)

Nice one! I quite like the idea but they need a bit more detail in the paint work. I'm interested to see a finished version of Dr Wu's Carly because she's got a good figure she looks like a good figure. If they do her well I'd like to see Dr Wu do all of them.
Apparently there was a Dr Arkeville with MP11 Skywarp but I haven't seen it.

Yes I think they're a good idea, but poor execution.
Is there a Sparkplug yet?

I don't think so. I think the only official ones are the Spike that came with MP10, the Spike & Daniel that came with MP Magnus, and the Arkeville with Skywarp - but having looked, the Arkeville isn't actually a figure. It's a pilot for the plane mode very badly executed: Transformers Masterpiece Skywarp Gallery3P wise it seems Dr Wu and Impossible toys have both done Spike & Sparkplug, and Dr Wu have done Arkeville too - but not managed to keep them in scale with themselves (close your ears Ralph). They're expensive too, but exactly what they need to be. The Spike & Sparkplug two pack is at least $25. They're a fraction taller than the official ones. You know, I think there's a market here. Small box set of all the key cartoon humans done well in MP scale. It'd be too much to ask for a comic set I expect, especially the UK characters, but Buster, Blackrock, Robot Master, Circuit Breaker... yeah I'd go for that.

What a roaringly good idea, Pinwig darling! I'd go for a set of comic characters. My MPs have been known to interact wiith the odd 3.75" figure, but it doesn't look right. Close, but not quite right.

I have to admit to quite enjoying Kreos efforts, well Fun Pubs Kreo efforts. Robot Master and Arkville are great, especially Robotmaster and GB Blackrock also looks pretty good in pictures.
Obviously not masteerpiece in style but they are an awful lot more fun than any MP or 3p effort so far.

I could do with a box set of 3.75 human friends/foes of The Transformers. I recall Andu and I drunkenly working out how it could be done years ago.

I'd like 'em smaller. 3.75" is just too big for the Masterpiece TFs. Which is the line human figures would go with.

Why would they have to fit with MP figures?

They'd need to be to scale with one TF line for the purposes of interaction, being attacked by and rescued from Decepticons etc, and MPs are the 'largest' TF line, so that means the largest possible human charater figures.

What about the slightly smaller, MASK-esque figures Hasbro did for Guardians of the Galaxy?

Why do the humans need to interact? Would many adult collectors actually play with their toys?

They would if they were doing it with kids. But you can also read interact as 'looking right next to the figures they go with' and this conversation started out as being about the figures that have been coming out with Masterpiece toys.

Weeeell... Spike standing next to Ultra Magnus and waving at him is *kind* of interacting.
Ok, we could change it to be 'same scale as' but I fear for the destinies of further space stations if we go that route.

Poor Tracks. If my girls knew I was sabotaging his thread they'd be cross with me, he's a fan-favorite in the Shockprowl household. They liked Raul too.
Does Raul have eyes?

Don't think so. Anyway, a toyline designed for working with human figures has been done already: Human Alliance!

Everyone has forgotten them. They were 'hot' for about 5 mins back in the day then shelfwarmed into forgotten oblivion. I don't recall if they had eyes!

They were really terrible. And drastically out of scale to the car. Tiny shia labuff with a gigantic yellow camaro. The humans were oddly jointed, and really fragile. And poorly sculpted. Very awkward.
Then they created a secondary scale that had even smaller human figures. They were constructed the same way as far as I can tell, but they were all wearing helmets and masks to avoid horror faces. I never owned any. But they may have been close to being a decent Classics scale.
The larger ones might be in a better MP size scale than the horrible humans that come with MPs, since MPs are smaller scale than Alternators and HA.

I had some of the smaller commander size ones from DOTM. Sandstorm was good, the others varied. I can remember picking up at least one for just the c-clip weapons.
