I'd probably phrase it 'Interview with Zander Cannon and breakdowns for pages 1-4 of each issue', or something similar. Also, we have a name for issue 64, 'Ghost Stories'. This is the name of the 2017 annual, which takes place between 8 and 9 of OP. In a logical world, this would make it volume 78. Sadly this is not a logical world - see DM from the FB page last year. It's vol 80.

The Smelting Pool was in WH Smiths so I picked it up.
WHYOHWHYOHWHY is Victory included when we've already seen the Dinobots revive in the UK story set directly before most of the US material in this issue. FOR FUCKS SAKE!!!!

Amusingly I've just seen an ad for the Smelting Pool book on Facebook that makes a thing of the sequential ordering of the Marvel series...
Feels like ages since I had a delivery, will have to check if anything has gotten lost in the post.

Oh ffs, money for 57 and 58 was taken nearly two weeks ago, so should have been here by now. Is anyone else still waiting?

Perhaps they went in THE SMELTING POOL. Actually, the other day I realised it was possible to recreate THE SMELTING POOL in Starbucks. Phil will make pictures appear. -Ralph

Phil will make pictures appear. Above post edited with pictures. Burns will pay dearly for the traumatic pictures he has made me look at and upload tonight.

Out of the many TFWiki editors, for some odd reason I sorta made the Definitive G1 Collection one of my pet projects. Why? I don't know because I live in the USA and can't easily collect it! Anyway, someone else entered this for "The Smelting Pool"...
Contents: Marvel US #17–#20 The 1986 Annual's "Victory!" Marvel UK #74–77
Additional material: Background material on the planet Cybertron with map.
Does this sound accurate for anyone who picked it up?

Spot on.
Looks the like the background material is repurposed from Simon Furman's Ultimate Guide for Dorling Kindersley a few years back.

I'm thinking that The Gift will be in Time Wars, mad as that sounds. Time Wars, I'm thinking, will have All in the Minds, TW itself, the Mecannibals duo and The Chain Gang, which leaves it kinda light at ~130 pages. Other than The Gift, the only other Marvel issues to be collected that we're expecting at this point are US 29-32 & 35-37 which is more than 150 pages.
Or I'm wrong, because the whole thing is being decided by throwing darts at a list. We should find out both around the end of April anyway, at which point I'm going to star a section on 'Not Actually Definitive'.

I wrote a comment on the TFWIKI page about the 80-issue length. I'd like to hear your thoughts:
If the series ends at the planned 80 issues, if will be far from completing the IDW continuity. Assuming issue 80 reprints a combined 6–8 issues of Optimus Prime and Lost Light, around 10 issue of both series will be in limbo. Add to that the 7-issue Unicron series and 5-issue Visionaries series, we now have 32 missing issues. The whole Talisman arc from Revolutionaries and First Strike are pretty essential, so those, along with various odds and ends could easily approach close to 50 issues unaccounted for. This would require 6–9 more volumes to complete (and that's not even including the Hasbro Universe material).

Hachette collections often get extensions, so we're hoping for a ten book extension to finish everything. It's not certain, but is usual. However, I think the extra ten books in the Dredd collection were announced around issue 60, so I'd have thought we were due an announcement on the TF series if one's coming.

I know quite a few people want an extension and it probably will happened as Furman hinted that all Lost Light and Optimus Prime would be reprinted though nothing about the last 2 Till All Are One issues. I'm not sure if I want an extension though mainly because of the misprinted issues and the hassle i had of getting 2 reprints over the period of six months. I should not have to go online and request a reprint through facebook several times it should be repackaged with and upcoming issue.

I was expecting #47 to be packed but they changed their minds later on, but would have cost them less to do it that way

I've had my share of problems with hachette, but using that as a reason to say the run shouldn't be extended is surely just cutting off your nose to spite your face. Leaving that collection a handful of books short of a natural end is stupid.

It was advertised as 80 issues so as long as it puts out that number of issues it has succeeded. Not all partworks make it to the end.
