Has the cover for next week's issue been revealed yet? Hachette's site for the series has been down for a few weeks.

You might have to wait ‘til Furman tweets about it, or one of us can scan for you if needs be

If Vol 82 is Revolutionaries and 89 is old GI Joe crossovers, should we, then, work on the assumption that 81-(insert number here) are the continuation and end of the 2005 IDW-verse and the rest sequentially from there are earlier material that got missed out of the original run? Or would that be too sensible? Thank makes sense for 81 to 88 for the remaining IDW stuff but that is 8 issues and I count 9 that is needed - Revolution, Revolutionaries, First Strike, Lost Light Parts One and Two, Optimus Prime Part One and Two, Visionaries, Unicron. Maybe those 9 can be squeezed in 8 books ? Edit I forgot about the ROM mini-series so 10 books

Could they put Unicron right at the end just to cap the whole thing off and wind us all up?

I really like Sandstorm. He was the Autobot triple I had as a kid. He doesn't often get nice dynamic poses like that.

As a point of interest, does anyone have a character who hasn't had a cover spot yet, they they feel should get one somewhere in the extension 20?
Rewind, Tailgate and Rung all spring to mind for me.

Not likely, unless they repurpose some of Guido's work from the Spotlight with Leadfoot (iirc) in it.

I'm guessing we'll see Kup, Max, Unicron and Wheelie before the end. Maybe another Bumblebee.
For the record, the characters used so far:
Arcee, Blaster, Blitzwing, Bludgeon, Blurr, Bombshell, Brainstorm, Bumblebee x2, Carnivac, Chromedome, Cliffjumper, Cyclonus, Defensor, Devastator, Dirge, Drift, Galvatron, Getaway, Goldbug, Grimlock, Highbrow, Hoist, Hot Rod x2, Ironhide x2, Jazz x2, Jetfire, Megatron x4, Metroplex, Mirage, Monstructor, Needlenose, Nightbeat, Optimus Prime x5, Perceptor, Predaking, Prowl x2, Ratchet x2, Roadbuster, Runabout, Sandstorm, Scorponok, Scourge, Searchlight, Shockwave, Shrapnel, Sideswipe, Skids, Skullgrin, Sky Lynx, Skywarp, Slag, Sludge, Snarl, Soundwave, Springer, Starscream x2, Sunstreaker, Superion, Swerve, Swoop, Tantrum, Thundercracker, Thunderwing, Trailbreaker, Trypticon, Ultra Magnus, Wheeljack, Whirl and Wreck-Gar

So, Issue 81: Looks like Blaster on the spine art, and a blue, circular bit of someone else at the bottom. Contents are Optimus Prime 13-17 and Optimus Prime Annual 2018. Page-long "Meet.. the Primes" article at the back (with a bit of a confirmatory spoiler for the Spoiler Shockwave/Onyx Prime reveal) , and the obligatory cover gallery. Furman's intro more-or-less confirms the preceding volumes are Revolution, Revolutionaries and First Strike, so I can sort of see why this was the first one of the extension, as it jumps back into the ongoing material proper after it was left in #80.

Unicron on the final IDW issue, perhaps? Or the one with the animated movie adaptation? Not sure Wheelie merits a spot, though. I'm assuming now, by the way, that *all* the cover art is from Dreamwave's profiles, which rather scuppers the chance of getting Rung, or indeed any of the other IDW originals (even Windblade, despite the fact that she had multiple miniseries *and* a volume in the first 80 named for her!). I still hope we'll get Rewind and Tailgate on the (presumed) final two Lost Light volumes. Beyond that... *any* of Soundwave's cassettes (and I'm still pissed that it wasn't Ratbat on volume 9!). Bruticus or Menasor. Hound (how have they missed Hound?). Broadside. Astrotrain. But we'll probably get another handful of Prime and Megatron, instead.

Most are DW profile art.
Volumes 1, 19, 26, 35, 50, 59 & 64 use seven of the eight Guido incentive covers from Infiltration (the unused one is Bumblebee). 41 & 48 use art from other IDW covers. 6, 8, 10, 16, 18, 21, 29, 31, 36 & 39 use artwork that Andrew Griffith did for Shout! DVDs (probably, I need to tweet him to confirm that).

Looks like Blaster on the spine art, and a blue, circular bit of someone else at the bottom. It's Ultra Magnus' foot. Like Blaster they're using the same image from the cover that they've each had.

The Blaster one's quite blatant, but that's a very sharp spot with Magnus! Do you have a link to the full art?

Oh no it’s *that* Ultra Magnus is it! So dynamic with both his top and bottom coming forward at the same time.

Well Simon Furman got back to me and confirmed Unicron will be volume 88 so
81 Revolution 82 Revolutionaries 83 First Strike 84 The Falling Part One and I'm guessing 85 The Falling Part Two then 86 and 87 must be Lost Light and God knows where Rom/Visionaries is going to be. Man should have asked him that instead.

I think he's only a dull surprise away from completing the DreamWave bingo card. If there's any logic the Revolution and First Strike Transformers single issues will be collected with the respective series, which would bring both to 8 issue books, which tracks. I wonder if we might get one of the crossovers, Visionaries maybe, in the second volume of The Falling, and have Prime #22-25 in the Unicron volume. Not sure where you'd have space to slot Shining Armor in though. I think everyone was expecting more volumes for the IDW wrapup.. I wonder what they've got planned for the rest of them. A couple of volumes of IDW Beast Wars?

That's a hell of a noscope on Magnus. I think everyone was expecting more volumes for the IDW wrapup.. I wonder what they've got planned for the rest of them. A couple of volumes of IDW Beast Wars? DD TF/Joe, maybe? Hopefully? It's 17 issues in total, but I think the last two are fatter than normal, so about 3 volumes would fit.

I know Furman was keen at TFN last year to get the 84 one off in there somewhere. If he knew about it with enough time to plan it in, that and the four issue mini series they've just announced could pop up as one of the later released volumes.

If it all gets released in time (and IDW let them print it since it'll be brand new) I could absolutely see Furman having 84 be volume 100 to finish off the series with a volume that leads into the first one. I'd also put money on it finishing with 'never the end!' I usually forget those DD books even existed, but when I do remember them I seem to recall them being enjoyable enough. Would be good to see them included.
