I SENSE AN ILLEGAL POLL COMING SOON. How can we talk about Raiden 'later'? -Ralph Obviously there is a catalogue which just shows Raiden and not the individual trainbots, as this is a catalogue poll. Still waiting for my HOPE vs STOP poll What a good idea. -Ralph

Consider this a gentle introduction..... Besides, you've seen Headmasters and should know who these are! I never finished it! I couldn't watch it beyond that horrific and disturbing fight between Soundwave and Blaster! I've said this! I told ya! Your name shall go on The List. -Ralph

Oh I see, tricky. I see the Takara versions are different colours. You can pick a few out but it would be hard to be certain.

Hmmm. My Trainbots have lived in Raiden mode for so long I can only remember the individual bots from the pile of junkers and the KOs I have in the Toy-fu boxes.
Lovely set, very much in the Devastator type combiner but does feel a step closer to the scramble city style.
I want to say the trains could link together in the diaclone release, but not Transformers. Diaclone versions also have spring load fronts of Trains that can be fired. Shame they were gutted.

I really dont know, I thought they were advertised together so assumed they came out about the same time. Either way I'd say the scramble city system developed out of the trainbot combination.

I genuinely cannot tell the difference between most of these.

I would fupping love to add them to my trainbot collection, but the chances of that are minimal.

There's something about Seizan that is edging it for me. Bit of an atypical colour scheme helps, and I find myself drawn to mountains as well.

Well I shall certainly vote for one of them.
Using my usual tactics, I'll have to go for whichever stands out most in the catalogue, which means it has to be one of the mostly-white trains/bots, which narrows it down. Shouki looks nice, but is weirdly squat in robot mode. So it's going to have to be Yukikaze. Which makes this the first combiner where I've not voted for the leader! I think. Hurrah!

That's the way I judge these polls, unless I have a deep connection to the toy. I have no real knowledge of these toys and definitely never owned one. Seizans slightly off colour scheme makes it jump out for me.

Suiken was the first one I owned, and then I got the KO of the set. Have the real ones now, but never combined them, want to get a boxed Seizan first.
The arm guys share a transformation, as do the leg guys. And the front of the trains are removable [as Andy said, they were spring loaded missiles on the Diaclone version], which may affect what folk think of them as it's slightly parts former. The TF versions do come with the little green connectors to make a line of trains. And I believe there are some extra parts with the TF version to make Raiden more stable.
I'm going with Kaen, has the most interesting transformation of the 6.

I have voted for SHOUKI. When I had the trainbots that was the one I played with the most. Good colour balance and a fun chunky robot mode. He also has PROWL'S HEAD.
