I've known how I'd vote on this one for a few weeks - got to be Trailbreaker.
Prowl is a great toy and a great character, but I prefer the look of Bluestreak, who we've already had. I think Bluestreak just looks smarter than Prowl as he has less stuff written all over him in robot mode.
Trailbreaker is fantastic. Great, solid vehicle mode. Stocky, well-proportioned, alien robot mode. And we get the wrist launchers and Death's-Head-style alternate hand tools. Superb.

Gutted I missed the rest of these polls - I would have balanced Windcharger with Bumblebee!
Have gone for Trailbreaker since his robot form matches his alt Ute' in the chunk stakes.
I don't even remember when I acquired my toy of him. Missing the accessories but otherwise intact.

For me these five are all tied up in their not being there at the start in the UK.
My first hint there was more than he UK catalogue showed was in my first issue of the comic, number 5 (the first half of US#3). Megatron is obviously the big difference, but Prowl appears and Sunstreaker gets mentioned.
I'm not sure I met the others before More Than Meets The Eye got it's UK breakfast TV broadcast - do we know when that happened? My next TFUK issue is somewhat in the future - #1 from a school fete/jumble sale in mid 85 and my next after that was 39 in December 85!
My memory is that these 5 were somewhat harder to find when they did reach the UK: I recall seeing Trailbreker precisely ONCE in a local Toymaster, it stuck in my mind because I wanted one after his MTMTE appearance. We had an Ironhide, US 85 stock import. It's also interesting that while four of the UK 1984 6 (Week 3) survive into 1986 none of this lot do! Arrive later, disappear earlier. You'd have thought it would make more sense to hold most of these over for a second year!
Even back then I realised that Prowl & Ironhide were Bluestreak & Ratchet with different paint jobs and a emergency lights either added or removed. Both look fab, Prowl especially, but it's a minor mark down for them.
Wheeljack and Sunstreaker were the two gold box classics I bought during my first TRU visit in 1991. Wheeljack is a toy which isn't better in hand and is notoriously fragile now. Sunstreaker I love despite the issues with the tech specs not matching the toy which had been bothering me since I spotted it all the way back in Transformers Universe in 1986.
I did not obtain Trailbreaker till Auto Assembly ..... 2009? Got the Encore edition. I already had his remould Hoist, and had owned one for many year. But Trailbreaker has a certain something. So he gets my vote here.

Phil has cost me money!
Periodically I remember my Wheeljack is missing his left wing and search eBay for one; this is the first time in years one turned up reasonably priced.

How can Trailbreaker be in the lead? Love the character but the toy is a bit...rubbish.

I remember getting the re-issue and not being that keen on the toy, which surprised me as I had long wished for one. Not a fan of firing fists either. Not my favourite gimmick.
I much prefer that wee legends size one that came out as a representation of Trailbreaker.
