Why didn't the connector part have a 5mm peg so that other Transformers of the time could also weld a fish gun?

Plug it into the side posts on a gun and it does

I had read that set was pretty poor, which is one of the reasons I've never opened them. However they were super cheap to buy (checks list), yep, £30 off amazon in 2013.
They do look nice in their packaging, it's true.

Double post, but I have just remembered Nautilator's rude mode from my school days!

While you have yours out, can we have: A seacon using the stand post as a gun?
A seacon holding the stand post, with the barrel up the arm and the shield mounted on the outer 5mm post
A larger toy holding a stand post by one of the side 5mm pegs with the other side peg inserted into a clip and a Seacon gun mode on that?

I had not looked that closely at the rude Nautilator photo before I posted.
My Seacons are stuck at the back of the above the stairs cupboard and I'll need to move three citybots to get at them.

This one is tough! I got it down to Overbite vs Seawing; I love Seawing's design but possibly the toy doesn't quite live up to the idea, and I'm more in the mood for Overbite's colour scheme today.
So Jawbreaker it is!

GO! It's "Teach Ralph fun tricks with the Seacons" day! Phil, I'll get mine out again after work tomorrow and take the pictures you asked for. It's OK, I got mine out instead: A seacon using the stand post as a gun? A seacon holding the stand post, with the barrel up the arm and the shield mounted on the outer 5mm post I'd been thinking shield on side of arm but there's also a way to do shield held in front A larger toy holding a stand post by one of the side 5mm pegs with the other side peg inserted into a clip and a Seacon gun mode on that?

Phil, what you call stand posts are described in the instructions as tripod rifles, so they are officially guns.

That's you'd to know...... Can't quite see where the Tripod bit comes from though ..... And now I have the sting at the start of The Tripods theme stuck in my head!
I wonder if they were meant to combine at one point into a rifle on a Tripod?

And yet Martin has schooled you! -Ralph On a name. Phil has never owned the individual Seacon instructions to know this, and never looked at the ones for the reissue! We all learn new things, it's just some of us scream "No, Phil, No" in denial every time we're exposed to them!

I also like how the instructions (which you can of course see in Botch's archive) describe the creatures with guns attached as 'attack monsters', implying that monsters without guns aren't likely to go on the attack. The Terrorcons were the same. Martin
