And Ruination looks FABULOUS, love the unified colour scheme and I'm pleased it's no longer being termed as an Artic camo, which would be right, and now is known as Urban Camo. I've been after one for 20 years! My only problem is the feet, why aren't they black like the hands? Only Special Team combiner with different coloured hands & feet! RUINATION gets my vote The hands are grey, not black. And the feet are moulded in grey, but painted purple. Weird use of paint app, but I like it.

I think I can rule out Dreadwind and Smokejumper. They are my least favourite of those moulds. (robotmasters rule) At the same time a Starscream and BB arrived yesterday (in the single greatest pile of Beast Wars toys Toy-Fu has ever gotten, maybe) and Ive been reminded just how much fun the toy is.
I could probably say the same thing about Landfills colours, but while I do think they are overall the weakest, they are still really really good. Landfill looks a bit dull, but I think the individual figures look fantastic.
Ive never noticed the purple on Ruination before but on an otherwise basically monochrome toy they really pop. Im not overly bothered about uniform colour schemes on combiners, but here it works.

My original was bought from the Oxford TRU on a trip to see Liz and sold some years back but I rebought the toy a year or so back after being tempted on the call. IIRC I'd been aiming to give it to Rich but he bought one in between me buying it and it arriving! Really? Aww, how kind. Those two are fantastic figures. Highlights of my RiD splurge a few years ago. Not done with that yet, but MotU got in the way.

I have Dreadwind and Smokejumper and they are lovely toys, deserving winners. But I am going to vote for Ruination, becasuse that's a lovely camo scheme and I wants it so.

Only one choice for me - has to be Dreadwind and Smokejumper. The Landfill colours, despite being realistic, really don't work for me - I just don't find "all yellow" being all that interesting. Ruination, despite having a similar unified colour scheme, is at least slightly more interesting. But it's nothing compared to a big plane with a little one that can ride in it. No contest.

I'm in broad agreement here, but that is the worst Dreadjumper colour scheme. None of these are really grabbing me.

The ATB is a nice colour set - all the ATBs look nice - but I struggle seeing a stealth jet that isn't black. I regret to inform you that those are the exceptions rather than the rule. The Nighthawk and Spirit wore the black to obfuscate visual detection because they were intended to operate only under the cover of darkness. But now that the technology has advanced more "low-observable" modern aircraft - F-22, F-35, SU-57, even the Spirit's intended replacement the B-21 Raider - are generally using the standard mid-to-dark grey schemes. Sorry, Stealth capable things being not black is just the way things are trending. (Also, Transformer aircraft have a long tradition of being in distinctly wrong colours for anything other than an airshow. Going right back to Thundercracker literally inheriting aerobatic display colours from Diaclone :-) ). Dreadwind and Smokejumper are pretty much my least favourite colour schemes here. It just feels odd. It is an extremely 1940's US Army truck green with a trim colour which...and this may be my colour-blindness in play... really doesn't work at all. Much as I like the toy's here both their original, and their BW Second, colour schemes are much, much better and that's before you get into the delightful Blue Angel's esque scheme from Robotmasters. The Landfill set is nice, and I do like a combiner with a unified colour scheme to tie it together and give it an identity separate to its constituent parts. But the real winner here has to be Ruination. It is a visually interesting scheme - three colours tie-ing it all together but also with the random striping breaking up the outlines and giving lots for the eye to explore. It is also kinda funny. Urban Camo was, and is, a thing on uniforms. But to my knowledge no-one has seriously deployed it on things the size of a bus because...well...it is intended to break up the outline of a person against the cluttered background of an urban area. Not for a vehicle the size of a small house. UC Ruination looks a bit like one of the Commandos saw some passing USMC urban camo uniforms and went "that looks cool" and persuaded the rest of them to get a respray to make them "more hardcore". They are basically "Tacticool Decepticons", which is both very silly, and incredibly in keeping with the tone of the source material. 100/100, no notes. Karl

I see the main body of the plane as a darker green
the forearms & hands, lower legs and cannon as a paler more olive green
the missiles as a very pale grey/green
the feet, upper limbs, head and wing undersides as pale grey
the cockpit windows, robot head's eyes & lightpipe, the wings front edges and bomb triggers as clear red Which of those isn't working for you and do you see it differently?

Apologies, I wasn't terribly clear there.
It is the lighter green that I don't think works here. I think that either green would work fine with the grey and the red, but I don't think that the two greens work very well with each other. I'd have preferred if they had either gone with making both greens the same - preferably the darker shade, or if they'd have picked a shade of brown instead of the lighter green.
Like I say, it may simply be my colour-blindness which is causing the issue here. Especially as it does occur to me that the lighter green agrees with me much better on the legs of the humanoid modes - where it isn't sitting right next to the darker green.

Finishes tomorrow. Ruination leading 7-3 over Dreadwind with nobody liking Landfill We're nearing the end of our time in RiD but as we finish I wanted to take care of some related business not directly in RiD. As a result we've got a whole month of polls dedicated to the reuse of a certain type of toy....... I wonder if @ Llama God can guess which?

Karl Yes, sadly I suspect it might be your colour blindness here. The greens and greys work ok for me, the problem for me is the contrast with the very bright clear red on the lightpiping.

Shocking behaviour! Question: Tiny Tin Spychangers: we'll have voted on all 8 in their 2 packs. 6 of them we voted for individually as Car Robots Spychangers Do we need to do them all again in the main poll? Yes. -Ralph Right, in they go, end of the RiD 2003 product and prior to the non branded Spychangers that later appear in Universe and I'd argue are RiD. Both sets of toys are oddities that don't really fit.

From what I remember, you open the tin, pop him in, and close it again.
Vehicle mode is probably the best way to do it.
