In recent discussions with a chum here we have disagreed on the matter of corner shops.
One of us feels he must always make a purchase even if they don't have the product he was blasting in there for. The other is somewhat more perceptive and sees no obligation to make a purchase to keep the shopkeep happy if there is nothing in the shop he wants.
But what do *you* think? Vote now! Poll closes in a week.

Of course you don't. Walking through a shop door does not oblige you to make a purchase!
Ralph is clearly wrong in this matter!

Mrs M also feels an unjustified social pressure to make a purchase. Unfortunately for the unnamed chum she does not vote here.

No ones goes there to browse but only to purchase! If I am in one I feel compelled to buy something! The shopkeeper always watches! Remember Mr Benn!!! -Ralph

I feel the need to support local small business. And if I went into a corner shop, I feel I would do my best to buy something, even if they didn't have the actual thing I'd gone in there for. But, I wouldn't, like, go out of my way to buy just any old crap that I deffinately didn't need. It'd be a bottle of wine or something. Or toilet roll, to keep Blue's poo-theme going. But if they really didn't have anything I needed, I wouldn't buy anything. So, I'm kinda half 'n' half.
