Well. Whoever this mysterious masked man turns out to be, it's a very nice recolour and remold of the original Evasion Mode Prime. This'll be one I'll have no choice but to pick up, I think.

It takes most of its design cues from Evasion Mode Optimus Prime, but there is no way it came out of modified versions of that toy's moulds. For a start they would be significantly too small to produce these parts, as you observe. This is clearly a new Optimus Prime toy from different toolings, no way it is from a modified version of the Evasion Mode Prime toolings. Karl |

Darn, that Optimus looks really good. I haven't bought a movie Optimus since Revenge of the Fallen (and I ended up punting that one as I preferred the original movie toy), but I reckon I'll definitely pick this up.
