I've never really understood his name either. Double Pinch does sound like the punny name that would have been used a few years earlier and also makes more sense to the toy. But as far as I can figure the Double part of the name comes from his two tails (behave yourselves!) so Double Stinger or something?
I have wondered if there was some real fun with translations going on and Scorponok somehow ended up as Scorpunch which went on to Double Punch. Given what happened to Bruticus and (maybe) Metroplex and Omega weirdly mangled name translation drift seems like a possibility.

In a possible glimpse as to the direction the line is going, it would appear as if Astrotrain and Omega Supreme both use the same new ramp connectors. Astrotrain's are at the ends of the paths leading to the sides and forwards from his base mode. Omega Supreme's connect the road plates together and are at the end of the ramps hanging down from the centre of the base   Trying to get better Omega Supreme images |

Yes. There's a Titans Return connector on the edge of the curve of the road, one each side.
The A.I.R.Lock connectors are on the side of the road formed from the foot. There's also A.I.R.Lock connectors at the end of the ramps leading down from the base and joining the road segments together.
