OPEN cabinet. TURN left dial to six o'clock position PRESS red button beneath dial
You turn the left dial to the right, it clicks at the one and two o'clock positions and hits a stop. You press the linked button, you hear a deep hum as something initialises. A hatch opens outside the door to the left. Some kind of turret comes out, it has a black two tier structure, thick power cabling and a silver nozzle.
Then all of a sudden taking you by surprise with an almighty fwoosh, a stream of orange-red energy, crackling with blue lightning comes from the turret. The creatures dodge left, right, left again and then success! The beam hits one of its possible targets! It almost seems to wrap itself around your enemy as the creature appears to be held in place, writhing in discomfort, growling and spitting with anger. Then almost as soon as it had started, the beam shuts off.
The creature that was struck lies breathing deeply, tired, its skin smoking slightly. It stands on weakened legs, shakes and continues to prowl the outside.

AR MED BUNCE... Oh Gods! Is this a V'GER/VOYAGER thing?!?! Indeed. We worked out a while back that the green uniform has paramedic on the front and ambulance on the back... we've also had a hint that before we lost our memory we were familiar with helping people. |

Right. What the heck just happened?!
Two clicks on the left dial and it activates a non-lethal weapon outside that gives one of the dogs a shock. Does the same dial go back the other way?
TURN left dial anti-clockwise as far as it will go.

Agreed. I hope this doesn't kill us, but if it does there's a couple of other things we could try. 1. Snatch keycard, run to control panel, open building door, run back to bedroom (dodging Borg if necessary, or tossing his keycard back to him so that he loses interest in us), bolt door from inside, wait for dogs to enter building, go out window... Or 2. Snatch keycard, run back to bedroom, put keycard on floor by window, hide behind door, wait for Borg to come in and bend down to pick up keycard, kick Borg out of window.  Martin |

With a grim smirk, you close your eyes and press both buttons with the flat of your hand hoping for the best. A second turret emerges outside to the right of the door, with morbid fascination you open one eye to watch proceedings.
Energy beams come from both turrets, as they connect they intertwine, combining their energies in a stream that seems to contain more power than the sum of its parts. The creatures look up in something of surprise and run. But they can't outrun the explosion of sorts that follows. You instinctively duck behind the console for safety.
After a few seconds you peek over the top, it seems the building has survived the blast intact, in fact from a cursory glance out of the window, the courtyard seems fine too... That is except for the beasts that once shockingly prowled around. Their mangled bodies burnt to a crisp, now almost charcoal like, solid in the horrific poses of their demise.
'It's Miller time' you exclaim in celebration!

The door from the Foyer to the Remote courtyard is closed and does not have an obvious way to open it.

Okay. It was the other button on the console that opened the outside door, which only worked when the security gate was shut. Which it is currently holding the Borg back. So:
PRESS illuminated button - the one that opens the outside door that being the one that isn't the one that closed the security gate but is next to it.
OPEN booth door - using the handle and if that doesn't work the keycard we used to get into it.
GO Outside
GET Crowbar
GO Inside
USE Keycard to open booth door if it is shut again
ENTER Booth
OPEN cabinet with crowbar.

If that works then the next step is to find the username and password for the info terminal in the foyer, which will hopefully tell us how to ride the bike. Given we haven't found anything else that will help with that, I'm hoping it's in the cabinet.
