Interesting. I don't know if this'll be a line that I'll be interested in collecting, but I am glad to see that they're finally doing new things ((thanks to the temptation of all that untapped cash from the Chinese market).
I'm interested to see whether this'll be some Transtector-like thing, or whether it's a Marvel Powemasters-type merging, or whether this figure's a reverse Pretender or something. Actual uncertainty! Exciting times.

Only if it passed UK safety standards though.

I'd be surprised if Hasbro designed toys that weren't suitable for a range of markets.

I direct you to G1 where some toys had to be modified or not released at all in the UK due to safety standards. The drop test, etc.

That was also a long time ago. Many of those toys don't pass modern safety standards.
Hasbro does seem to be pretty concerned with uniformity now. I mean there's nearly zero difference between takara and hasbro releases, let alone other Hasbros.
I see no reason these wouldn't be made to pass US or UK safety standards.

So, we could have done a better version of Pretenders.

I keep forgetting this exists due to the general lack of availability for it (in the West).

Yeah, I keep forgetting about it, too. And it's surprising that no-one's decided to pick it up - maybe they think that no-one's interested? That said if it only consists of a handful of mold re-uses and this one, single new mold, then I guess it's not that surprising.

There are several new molds. I recall at least two others. Edit: at least three others

Thought they were more re-tools of existing molds. But either way, they're certainly not as available before.
And having checked, it seems that there's a Nezha on eBay for the very reasonable price of about £150. So... er... no.

It's a pity. If there was a channel to buy these at retail I would for the novelty. They don't seem to have escaped China in bulk.

Yep, same here. Would have been a curiosity purchase.
I wonder if Selects could be a line they could go into for outside China?

I'd at least get the new stuff. The larger figure looks like it'd be great fun.

Megatron looks too smug, but that's the least of the issues here.

I actually really like that Optimus set. I'm starting to believe that Cyberverse Optimus's design might be my favorite of the G1 styled Optimi.

I actually really like that Optimus set. I'm starting to believe that Cyberverse Optimus's design might be my favorite of the G1 styled Optimi. It's based on the Evergreen design, which I also really like. One of my favourite renderings of that is Kei Zama's depiction of Optimus Prime in his titular series, and that's the main reason I picked up the cheapo Prime from B&M. But Cyberverse is not bad either. I'm guessing that those figures aren't transformable, and that you have to build each mode separately. Although at least that's how it looks to me.

Now that was unexpected. I'm still waiting for the toys to show up in B&M or something randomly, but I'm wondering if, as suggested by the comments under the tweet thread, that series actually ever aired at all. The fact that this is apparently a year old, but we've not seen anything else, maybe suggests that it hasn't...
