There is no university cinema.

So, for the clarity of certain members who might be confused, why if there a hot dog stall?

Hot dogs can be purchased anywhere.
Even for highly inflated prices and covered in gunk, onions, cheese and other nasty things.

The special hot dog sausages are only in cinemas. Elsewhere there are sausages in buns. They look different. The cinema ones are red and slippy.

Exactly like the ones being sold at the university. Cheap to buy, outrageously marked up in price.

Foolish man. It is what a roll with something is called. If you want egg in a roll you have a roll in egg. No one calls them egg rolls. That's nonsense. I've explained this before!

A roll with X in it is called an X roll, not a roll in X.
Egg rolls. Salad rolls. Steak rolls. Sausage roll. Etc.

Incorrect.
A sausage roll is pastry with sausagemeat inside.
The correct term for that is a roll on sausage.

This thread appears to contain more than it's fair share of crazy talk.
'In' means 'inside', and 'on' means 'on top of'. Hence, fish in breadcrumbs, sausage in batter, pepperoni on pizza, beans on toast.
A roll in cheese is surely a roll with cheese on the outside.
A roll on sausage would be sausage with a roll sitting on top of it.
That's logic.

Incorrect. A sausage roll is pastry with sausagemeat inside. The correct term for that is a roll on sausage. Andy I have never heard of a sausage roll referred to as a roll on sausage. I fear either Andy can be wrong or Ralph has hacked his account.

I've always used the term "Roll and sausage" or "sausage in a roll".
My brain interprets "roll in sausage" to indicate that the roll is inside the sausage - in the same way as with a "man in helicopter" does not have the helicopter inside the bloke. Basically I interpret it as "roll in[side] sausage".
