Listening to them talk about the Earthrise cartoon, I'm wondering how they're going to do it. It sounds like the bulk of the second chapter will be the journey, possibly even culminating in the crash on Earth rather than featuring Earth at all. Which would mean a very different approach to the arrival on Earth in Kingdom because it would need to incorporate the beasts at the same time. I can see that working. But if they keep the core cast in their car modes, it would have to be modern day. Maybe they crash in a zoo instead of a dormant volcano.

I am 100% convinced that the alt modes won't factor into this at all and they'll just be cars. Then they'll hit prehistoric (ish) Earth and voila.

They talked a lot about time paradoxes for Kingdom too, these disc things. I reckon the third part of the cartoon will be a crash on Earth as usual, but time travel will allow them to get round the modern day/past part.

On to episode 3. The speech. Might. Not. Be as. Slow. I did watch the last episode of wfc and I dont think its quite a bad. But its not much better. Ironhide is still horrendously miscast. Its a good job he barely speaks, it would drive me nuts. Thoughts
Start of ep 3 and Prime has changed his mind. I'm not at all clear as to why.

I have now. And I dont know what to think.
Except that wasnt Earthrise, by any definition of what the toyline intended. That was Siege part two. and both series probably should have been compressed into one. And by compressed a mean turned seige into a 2 part story and kept most of Earthrise which is better.
Then done a proper Earthrise and then gone on to Kingdom.

{Spoilerly thoughts}Optimus Primes voice is bad every time hes angry, it just doesnt work.
Sky Lynx is amazing. It doesnt matter what hes saying, it always sounds like hes two seconds from eating Prime.
Galvatrons intro hilariously rips off TFTM. It should be good, but the model looks ridiculous and has a crazy facial expression that makes it look like a piss take.
Megatrons monologue in episode 1 is filled with hilarious poses.
Doubledealers nose it snouty, which would be fine but means it keeps flickering in and out of shadow.
The Selects guys are the new redshirts.
But that final scene.... Oh my... thats great.
It really was much better than Siege. But on the whole they are trying to tell way to much story way to slowly. |
