Following on from our first event, held in London, we are pleased to be bringing TFNation: The Gathering a little further north, to Manchester! The Gatherings are TFNation's collection of free-to-attend events, where friends new and old can meet and socialise. (Robot knowledge advised, but not essential!). TFNation Gatherings are a great way to bridge the gap between conventions, whilst also acting as a first step for those wanting to meet like-minded fans before taking their initial convention plunge! Our Manchester Gathering will take place on Saturday 11th May 2019, in Manchester, England, beginning at around 11am. Our base of operations will be Slug and Lettuce Manchester Piccadilly. You'll be sure to see us upon entering, but if in any doubt, just ask staff to direct you to the area reserved for the TFNation group. Shopping destinations, travel and hotel recommendations will be discussed on the facebook event page over the coming weeks. Be sure to join in the conversation! www.facebook.com/events/2248588292020481/

I hope to pop down as it would be good to meet more folk from that general area what with impending Real Life stuff. Depends on number crunching.

Same street as the meet pub and opposite the toastie cafe of joy! Nothing can go wrong.

Fair enough.
Some of the hotels on that street are rape caves.

I've bought train tickets. Not staying overnight, alas. I could not stretch to a hotel.

Who booked the hotel room this time? I was at work and their internet was being wanky. I suspect it was the same one I was looking at. I handled trains. Now can someone nail Nick to a chair.

You do know Nick is intending to travel this coming weekend?
Guess where he's going?

Fair enough. Some of the hotels on that street are rape caves. Mrs M reports that the hotel in question "used to be quite posh" in her youth...

I stayed there once. My favourite feature was how the lifts were hidden and you had to take the stairs four floors up.

Sounds like an adventure!
It's just somewhere to crash late at night for one day. Will hardly be there!
It can't be worse than the place Turn and Burn stayed at for a Glasgow Comic Con.
Neither can it be the legendary Manchester knocking shop hotel.
