I foolishly thought international packages would have to have a protective outer packaging. I was wrong. Never had this kind of nonsense from Amazon before. It will be the weekend before I can check if the contents are smashed.

Yes the problem with the SIOC box is that it offers no protection to the actual box whatsoever. I don't quite understand the logic in using them.

Oh, absolutely. That was my opinion!

I am now not sure if it was the Coneheads (I was elsewhere due to being in the middle of moving house so my other half brought the package into where I am moving to) as according to Amazon it wasn't delivered and has been returned to the Manchester carrier facility as of 7:30pm!!! I was told what came today was a Transformer box with the logo on it. It *could* have been a missing Kapow package that shredded the outer box in transit.

It is possible it was something else that was delivered. Will find out on Saturday.

I wonder if the shippers are a carry over from Fun Pubs subscription service. The Select line seems to have been Hasbros effort to replace the the sub and they use the same type of box although with a bit more decoration. As they didn't have an inner box there was nothing to damage so they made sense. Even if people werent happy getting them covered in labels.

Then TRU goes under and suddenly exclusives have to go on line so more shippers as a way to avoid the minor dings that annoy collectors, but some retailers or packers see them as fine as the primary packaging.

Which apparently turned up today at 5pm and was signed for by 'Sarah'. They actually were delivered circa 3pm yesterday and 'Sarah' does not exist.

Had a chance to check today. Yup, labels had just been slapped on the toy packaging for international shipping!!! Thus the box had been mostly destroyed in shipping. Somehow, the toys inside appear to have survived!!!
